OMG. Amazing, Red Velvet smooth and pure delish after pnp. Been hanging on to this awhile and the 10% PV has integrated seamlessly. Tannins are fully integrated and the dark fruits just inviting you to jump in and splash around. Still have a couple more but imagine it getting any better. Rated at 100 and still at that level.

Not up to BC typical standards although it does exceed one of the worst vintages in recent history which is no small feat. 2011 & 2012 exceeds the 2014 with 2012 a clear winner.

Ok so my last 2011 Tin Box. I believe this was the only 100 pointer from Parker for the Napa vintage 2011. I considered holding this a few more years but my previous one was outstanding and what the heck it’s Fathers Day!! Even in a PnP it’s stunning out of the bottle. Color amazing. No tannins. Smooth and remains fruit forward. Broken record I know. Bevan is the best!!!!

Pop and pour. Silky, layered fruit bomb that transcends the difficult vintage and is showing at peak right now. I don't see Parker's 100 points but it's full-bodied and balanced with sweet acid and supple tannins supporting the delicious single-vineyard Oakville berries. Super yummy.

Decanted and served. Super intense palate of blueberry and cassis with a very long finish that includes the touch of citrus found in a lot of 2011 Napa Cabs. Over the top in extraction and very sweet initially although that settled down. 10% Petit Verdot.

Drank alongside a 12' CCS Schrader and 13' Realm Bard and this was the least dramatic of them. Similar in style to the bard but softer and not as much complexity. Still enjoyed it but not sure it lives up to the other CT scores.
Far from perfect, though a very enjoyable representation of full-throttled Napa power. Graphite, spice, dark berries, and yes: plenty of oak. Impressive richness for the vintage, though some of that 2011 green may actually have helped here.

Just gorgeous in every way, really almost 97 pts, but hard to give it that when I can always mentally go back to my fav Schrader Old Sparky and get some perspective.
Stacy loved this too. It has shed baby fat, tannins, etc, and just become a smooth and elegant expression of a Cab (not sure of the blend). It's like Russell put on a pink tutu and danced around for us during dinner. Hee hee! Hope I don't get booted from the mailing list for that one.
We enjoyed this oh so slowly prior to the U2 concert at Rose Bowl last night. No formal notes, but it just had impeccable balance, no heat, all the black berry fruits you could want along with 70% dark chocolate and hints of brown sugar. Nothing could have paired better with the perfect cowboy ribeye!
Yikes, what a night.... Except for the technical snafus at the Rose Bowl entrance this was a perfect night, with perfect food, my perfect wife, and perfect wine!!!!

I drank some of this today with Russell Bevan at a charity event. He was kind enough to pour a bottle from his small private stash. Pretty amazing wine! Smooth, rich, layered with a long, long finish. Thanks Russell!!!

Great wine. very primary right now, with strong black fruit and blueberry notes. There is a really interesting flintiness that is apparent on the midpalatre that makes this wine very enjoyable. I think this needs to be locked away for a while, and will be fun to check in on once there is some development.

A complete wine. I just could not help myself. I opened and decanted for 6 hours the same day I took delivery of the 2011s. Dried blueberry. Color is vibrant. Nose fresh. So rich and smooth especially given how young. Drank way too early but have two more which I will lay down. The day I drank this Parker came out with a 100 point rating. All Bevan wines are so special.

Was able to taste this along side 10 other 100 pt wines including 100 Acre, Colgin, left and right bank Bordeaux, etc. Absolutely perfect -- flawless.
