Loads of sweet black fruit still evident, backed with some spicy liquorice. A nicely balanced package, perfect with Ardennes pâté. Great now but no rush.

Quite sharp and just mildly tannic, reminiscent of a Southern French field blend that was meant to be enjoyed sooner than later. Nothing wrong with it, but best to drink soon.

Delicious. The piney tree bark element of the mourvedre really shines through in this wine, giving it a most interesting flavor profile. Dense and layered, great balance.

It slowly evolves over the past few years and has become quite a decent bottle of wine! Still dark red in colour! The nose is a bit shy with some leafy dried fruits along with some dried herbs, a character here, the palate is a little bit sharp and I think at this point, we all need a little bit of food to pair it! Will keeps evolving I think!

Clear dark ruby red, medium depth of colour, alcohol curtain evident. Sweet fruity nose, berries, blackcurrant - Ribena, mint, complex and alluring Dry, full bodied, nicely balanced and well structured. Mild acid, mild and delicate tannins, subtle berry characters with complex spice. Classy, restrained. Good length. Smoky savoury oak overtones. Complex, interesting. Warm finish but not fiery.

With all the fuss around the G3, I thought I'd open something at the other end of the spectrum! Cork, good cork too, tight and clean. Not a huge fan of Penfolds but I didn't mind this - lots of black fruits (plums, black currant, black berries) but there is a framework of tannin that is well bedded and provides structure. Actually enjoyed it as it wasn't overtly fruit driven - best on night 3 too.

Last tasted in Pakse, Laos of all places in 2014. ROH Amphitheatre (The Nose - Shostakovich). Limited note taking. Served at room temperature (unlike in Laos when it was chilled). Warming dense hedge fruit with some spice and liquorice with velvety fully integrated tannins. À point, for drinking by end of 2017. Close to excellent.

An inky purple wine with a nose of bright blueberry, grilled meat, and a hint of black olive. In the mouth, tastes of blueberry, mocha, and dark fruits. The finish is focused, but short, with dark fruits and mocha.

Men absolutt drikkbart.

Lots of smokey meaty buttery spicy raisins, and minerals on the nose. Quick, tight running legs. Very dark color, only 5-10% opacity. Very deep, very rich; in color, aroma, and flavor. Front flavor comes across right away. Mild tannins at the back about 17.5-22.5% tannic overall. Light acidity, about 15-20%. Silky mouth feel. Definitely has some body to this vino. Only open 30 minutes, no heat at all. Smokey beef jerky and bacon fat flavors on the front. Some dark fruits and pepper on the mid and finish. Speaking of which, it has a nice medium to long finish. Big HUGE flavors, not a bomb, not overwhelming at all. Just a solid beautiful vino. Very well rounded. This is my first real tasting of a Shiraz, but it is there! Great Vino! Must buy to try, you won't be disappointed.
Slight oak and cedar are coming through 1.5 hours after decanting.
Very young! Bright purple in colour, faint nose of spices and dark fruits, very rich pure dark fruits on the palate, not too sweet, a touch of chocolaty coffee, this is perfect for spring weather! A very good wine!
At this price, I can't really asking too much to be honest, God bless Australia

Not ready to drink yet and was quite austere upon opening. As time wore on some fruit emerged and was very enjoyable. Will get a few more and sit on them for while, should be interesting.

Pakse Hotel, Pakse, Laos. In Lao style very cold when brought to the table. As it warmed up the concentrated hedge fruit aroma emerged and carried forward to the flavour. Soft, juicy and dense but drinking well now and perhaps for 2 more years. Very enjoyable.

Comes on very strong as expected for a youngish Shiraz. The tannic notes predominate but raspberry in the middle with a little tobacco at the edges. After a little air the Jam profile shows itself, with some black pepper overtones in the short finish. I found the nose to be somewhat closed.

Dark inky. Spicy, star anise, dark cherry nose. Very plush mouthfeel, but a bit flubby overall. Tannins are good. Acid well in check.

Ageing well ina reasonable cellar, kept for last 5 years. Not sure how much it will improve with longer keep. Needs decanting - reasonable sediment.
