PnP at 62˚. Opened up a little bit in the glass after 30 min, and stayed there. Nose: very good 8/10. Palate: 7/10. Medium body. Rose petal, red berries, spice. Reminded me of Oregon Pinot Noir. Very soft tannin. Medium-low acidity. Finish: 7/10. Price: 10/10 ($35 in 2021). Enjoyment: 9/10. Great to drink now. Would buy again: yes.

Agree with the other reviews. Only one left, will save it and try in a couple years on the 10 year birthday. Really good, finished the bottle in the morning and it was even better.

PnP. Had good cherry fruit but no complexity. Alcohol was way too prominent. Not sure where this is headed but it doesn’t seem to be in the right direction.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. A Sojourn with some age on it will always reward you. Really smooth on pop n pour. Some spice. Pretty color. I agree with most of the notes already written. Wish I had another bottle. Everyone at the table had nice things to say, including my wife!

Medium red. Medium body, starts with tart cherry, rounds out with hints of vanilla, a bit of lemon tartness, and spice. May be fading a bit so drink up.

Herbs and raspberries, tangy cherry. Plush mouthfeel, and great depth. When I had this over three years ago, it was all about the delicious fruit. Now it has some secondary characteristics that make it more complex and earthy.

In a great spot. Earthy and restrained fruit. With a tangy fruit note that is really fun. Tannins have subsided a bit and gives this wine a smooth entry with a nice long finish. Sage and new leather and bright red and pink fruits on the palate

Got better with air but not really a fan. To me has a little bit of heat showing and I agree with others who mentioned a sort of grapefruit or bitterness coming through. Couldn't quite place it before but took away from the enjoyment for me.

Everything I'm getting is in line with Chainthroer's notes (not surprisingly; he's always on point, gotta follow him if you don't already). Dusty, seductive nose. Flavors of strawberry, sour cherry, pink grapefruit, hard candy, bitter cola. Beautifully-balanced and proportioned. Finishes long and delicate with fine tannins and pink lemonade flavors. 92-93, and a few more years of peak drinking, if it's even quite peaked yet.

Last tasted one year ago. I still get cherry, strawberry, floral scents, hints of cola and oak. Rich and delicious fruit that seems a little more intense this time. Good structure. Delicate and well balanced. A long finish. Score 92-93.

Aerated and decanted 30 minutes. No significant change over the next hour. Big, fruit forward pinot, although not quite as big as the 2012 Sojourn Ridgetop. Lots of dark and red fruit including plum, cherry and strawberry. Moderate tannin with a long fish ending with a hint of vanilla.

Rich, juicy, tending toward luscious, but balanced with some spice and tang. Showing as intended in early '16. Hard to know how it will evolve - if this velvety style is your thing, it's probably better to luxuriate in it sooner than later.

Cherry, strawberry, floral, spice, hints of cola, oak. Rich and delicious fruit. Not real full bodied, but more of a delicate and well balanced pinot noir. A soft and elongated finish.

750ml; PnP with dinner. Semi-opaque crimson red color, no bricking. Medium tight nose of Mama's cherry-pie with red licorice turning very slightly anise. Flavors of red and black cherry, currants, licorice, and spice. Flavors linger well with yummy bright sour-cherry mouth watering acidity taking hold after 10 or more seconds. Good body - tannins are small and mild-medium. Nicely done but still slightly young. Try again in 1-2 years.

A lot of fruit, but so smooth and the finish was incredible. I get dark cherries, some baking spices, and such a silky texutre. Drank alongside the Sangiacomo and this was a little better.

Blind CA Pinots (My Place - Washington, DC): Vibrant dark ruby colored. Aromas of black cherries and saucy plums, add in some cola, cinnamon and clove, some smoke and earth. Firm tannic structure, some medium acid. Deep, concentrated core of fruit (black cherry and blackberry) a bit roasted but still tart. I also get some charcoal pit, roasted nuts, loamy soil and spice elements (maybe clove and black licorice). Initially this struck me as a bit too intense, but air tones it down. Long, velvety and nutty (50% new oak) on the finish. I’d lay off this for two years or so. A beautiful albeit boisterous Pinot.

Opened at Anvil. Very dark color for a Pinot, almost Syrah like in appearance. Nose is miles ahead of the palate at this point. Sour cherry and spices on the nose, while the palate is somewhat muted. This was decanted for about an hour before dinner, and then consumed over the course of the evening. It finally started to show near the end. I'll hold another few years for another bottle.

This round, full pinot shows orange peel, spices and berries on the nose, the body fills out with air, blueberry, strawberries, spice and mineral on the palate, the mineral core keeps this balanced and just lifted enough, should continue to drink well for years

Not nearly as dark, big, or lush as the 2007 Sojourn, or others from Gap's Crown, which were delicious, but were at times hard to identify as Pinot. This, however, was Pinot start to finish. Lighter color, fresh red fruit, and soft, silky mouthfeel. A bit disjointed out of the gate, but started to add depth with some air.

Popped and poured with grilled pork chops. Aroma is tart cherry and a slight bit of spice. Taste is red cherry, with a good deal of acidity. The finish is slightly darker, with a bit of cocoa underneath. This is enjoyable, but could use at least another year before showing best I think.

I have enjoyed several vintages of the Gap's Crown vineyard and this vintage is just as good.
The nose is vibrant with both fresh cherries and baked cherries. On the palate the freshness continues. Balanced acids, fruits and slight tannin brings this Sonoma Coast terror to the forefront.
Bright and clear in the glass, medium body and a great food Pinot.
