I tasted this wine at a community Zinfandel tasting. My impressions closely match JIGones earlier notes. I thought their Old Vines Reserve (Sonoma County) was much better at $24.00.

A nose of dark fruit and heat, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Zin, black cherry, disjointed with heat, label is best thing about wine. www.winelx.com

This is a below average bottle of mass produced wine that does not expand your palate or bring anything new to the table that wines at this price range already do. As a matter of fact, this wine hurts zinfandel due to the fact that it tastes like watered down zinfandel with dark cherry juice concentrate added. The strawberry/raspberry nose is the only saving factor for this wine. Thee are much much better zinfandels at this price range (e.g. Ravenswood Lodi Old Vines Zin) and wines from other varietals (Catena Malbec) so save your money. I would not even take this to a party. Avoid-save the money in the future.

Spicy nose. Lacks depth and fruit concentration even though alcohol (14.9%) is not too hot. Opens up with 1 hour aeration. Stlll a little disappointing at this price point (14.99)

So-so, a little harsh and unbalanced. Good fruit, though a little too mineral-ly for me. Nice finish.

Pretty smooth. Definitely fruity. Pretty average though.

Very good. Lighter style. Red fruits, not too high alcohol. A fun everyday wine at this price.
