Starting to decline; but still nice. The nose is purely tertiary - cooked red fruits, mushrooms, older leather and pencil lead. The palate is a bit fruitier - sour cherries and big over ripe strawberries join the aforementioned tertiary notes. Medium + body, low tannins (almost completely gone) but some acid is still around.
Drink now, and quickly!

Wine aged well (2011 vintage consumed in 2022). Tannins incredibly mellow, soft flavours of dried and sour cherry, not much for spices. Was a good addition to thanksgiving ham!

Nice choice to accompany BBQ'd pork ribs. Needed an hour of decanting before it started to open, ultimately revealing a big, bold fruit smorgasbord punch.

Decanted for over 2 hours. Aromas and flavors of blueberry, blackberry, plum with savory notes of leather, black olive, and licorice. Medium finish of ripe fruit with balanced acidity and well integrated tannins.

When we first tried this it was wonderful. That was in 2013. Unfortunately we let this sit too long. The tannins have disappeared and it's very fruit driven now. It had lost character but is still a great wine. For some, this will still be wonderful, but for my taste, I miss the tannin.

Dark in the glass, aged fine... dark fruit and then a satisfying poke of plum, black pepper, dry with a whisper of tannin towards the back of the mouth. A solid PS.

An hour decant helped settle it and bing out delicious, ripe, berries with lots of acidity and a great drying aftertaste. Very enjoyable... Would not have guessed Napa. Was a great pairing to an akaushi steak.

Inky purple, almost black. Deep barnyard and ripe plums. Concentrated fruit, with jammy blackberry, black currant, herbal qualities. Chewy finish showing some tanic bitterness. Still young.

Opaque core with bright garnet rim; lots of chocolate here, vanilla, tar, plum berries, big and plush; slight leather on the palate, juicy dark berry, menthol, tobacco, very manageable tannin; ok.

Very nice wine. Had at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse with Ribeye. Stood up well with steak, and was smooth and robust. Also drank well by itself. Very enjoyable and business guests liked as well.

Quite excellent. Two hour decant. Paired with New York Strip steak. Full spectrum of fruit on display. Nose of dark fruit, cherry and plum, but also brighter character of strawberry. Delicious fruit carries through on the palette. Mineral characteristics were a surprise. Subtle Vanilla. Enough tannins to add back bone. Long tart finish.

Inky ruby color. Faint nose of blue and black berry preserves and pies. Better palate of dark stewed berries and plums that starts with unctuous but subdued flavors, offers soothing tannins mid-palate, and finishes with a burst of sweet acidity. A pretty hard varietal to make great but this is one of the best.

Outstanding. When I asked for a Petite Sirah in this price point at Gary's the clerk said it was delicious, and everyone agreed. Very nice balance between fruit, tannins, heat - and the finish is medium to long. We opened and let it get some air before pouring. Now that I have returned home, I will put this wine on my order list.

This was decent. Popped and poured at a party. Others said it was good too. Fruity and dry. Still has some time left.

Drank it from a paper cup in a hotel room and I must say it is delightful.
I like the berry in the nose and mid palate. It is big but not overwhelming. All around well balanced.
