This is drinking nicely. Better at “cellar temp” than fridge, and better after an hour + open. The vineyard really speaks as it warms up and broadens out - very floral and a touch honeyed. Nice acidity - stood up well to pork sausage!!

Opened and poured. The Riesling components shining through, with excellent acidity and the touches of sweetness that make this quite charming. Initial matchstick notes blew off after air. Nice flavors of citrus, apple, quince, steel, ice. Quite nice.

Moderste but slightly heavy nose of flowers and spice. Interesting mouth feel and flavors of fruit and floral. Relatively big finish. Much better when at 60 degree range. Rich and lovely.

I've been a little down on A-R whites recently after a couple of underripe chards, but this was crazy good and I'm now kicking myself for not buying more of this wine from each vintage. Acidity has calmed down a bit, allowing the floral and spicy aromas to come to the fore. Could sniff this for hrs. Wonderful, mouthcoating - but not oily. A real hit with some folks who had never had A-R before, which was fun to see.

We liked it. Bracing acidity, some notes of lemon, apple, some honeysuckle. Interesting contrast to the Bedrock wine from the same vineyard we had earlier in the week. Liked the Bedrock better.

Nose offers golden apple, pear, sweet floral, honeysuckle, stone. Lemon coats the palate initially, then things get interesting as spiced apple, ginger and a nice minerality come into play. There is most definitely some bracing acidity here, so this wine will probably fall into a love/hate camp, but I am definitely on the love side. Will attempt to hold my remaining bottle to see what develops.

From a dry-farmed Sonoma Valley vineyard (Compagni-Portis) planted in 1954 on the site of the original Haraszthy Estate. An eclectic "mixed-white" vineyard containing Sylvaner, Green Hungarian, Riesling, Berger, Gewurtztraminer, and French Colombard.
13% alcohol. Medium intensity aromatics. On the palate, very intense peach and pear flavors with floral overtones. Nice acidic backbone. Great depth and a lingering aftertaste. Fascinating and delicious!

Outstanding wine. Riesling stands out. Excellent complexity, fruit and acidity, all in balance. Classy effort. Wish my allocation had been larger, but only 5 barrels made. A pleasure to drink. A-R is making some really excellent wines.

Arnot-Roberts release day (Arnot-Roberts, Healdsburg, CA): This always reminds me of a dry Alsatian wine and this year's version is no exception. Not as effusively floral as the 2011, if my memory serves, but the Sylvaner/Gewurtztraminer/Riesling characteristics show up in the flavors.

good, but maybe needs more time. For the blend I enjoyed it and the outcome they got. Not in love with it, but don't hate it either.

Nice wine just nothing special. Citrus, bright, some waxy notes. Not worth the $ in my opinion. 12.5% ABV
