The nose is cherry, plum and leather. not much floral characteristics. Good acid and soft tannins make it a food friendly wine. Medium mouth feel with not a lot of alcohol "burn". Will last another 3-5 years. Decanted for an hour and the tannins softened nicely. Didn't see much difference between 1 hour decant and 3 hours. A basic Barolo but a nice QPR @$28.

100% Nebbiolo. Translucent garnet color with brown shades. Aromas of ripe berry fruits, vanilla, balsamic note. Full bodied, complex, aromatic, elegant and harmonious mouthful, typical La Morra style, fine tannins. Drink now and in the next few years.

A bit tight at first, decanted half of the bottle. Tannin eased just right amount, continued to open during course of meal--cleaner showing of fruit with more freshness and pop. Black cherry, red fruit, leather, earth, hint of tar, nicely balanced especially after about an hour. Lovely straight forward wine with medium body, moderate long finish--eminently sippable, crisp, nice transparent fruit. Excellent with rack of lamb and truffle pasta. Drinking just great.

Agree with other recent notes. Some bricking. Leather cherry and hint if orange peel on the palate. Medium body and finish. Enough tannins and acidity to go well with food.

This is a little disappointing as it is from a good vintage but is lacking in body for my taste. Otherwise it is a good representative of this variery..

Decanted an hour before tasting. Moderate purple starting to brown. Red and raw black fruit, leather. Medium finish with moderate, silty tannins, nice bit of structure. Absolutely lovely with food, flattering dinner without demanding the spotlight. Very enjoyable, not quite spectacular.

Crimson purple. Raspberry nose. Dry, Crisp, focused. Elegant. Black cherry, medium tannins, lots of time left with this one. Day 2 - secondary elements appearing, savory elements, hint of licorice, but still a somewhat austere core. I would wait if you have a bottle.

Clear ruby color with some viscosity. Mentholated cherry aromas. Red cherry and raspberry flavors with stiff tannin and great acidity for food. Lengthy finish. Still young.

Exotic wood, jammy, flowery on the nose. Taste restrained to the outer part of the mouth and dominated by dark to non-fruit aromas (tar?), clear tannins and acidity. Nice balance. Good value for money Barolo drinking nicely now.

Nose: flowery, spicy, cooked fruit Palate: tannic, tart, dry, coffee. Notes: less limestone, more sand wich makes wine smooth and simple. (Prairie Star Wine Tasting)

Took to a dinner party so minimal notes. Age is apparent in both color and smoothness. Nice acidity for food.

Dark cherry kirsch on the nose
Strongly acidic and pairs well with food.
Raspberry on the palate.
Good but not great.
Definitely better with food.

Aromas of wood, spices and rose hip. Quite tannic, but the tannins are fine. A relatively cheap Barolo and a good value.
