Still fairly youthful, but great to drink now, red cherries, an earthy savoury tone to this, it would be interesting to see where this goes but mines all gone now

Nose with cherries including hints of overripe fruit, some undergrowth and hints of green notes, mineral, and some pleasant animal notes. Medium bodied (or slightly less) with mineral and very fine acidity on the palate together with red berries and cherries (but the minerality dominates over the fruit), rather soft tannins, and a long, fresh and mineral-dominated aftertaste. This is a bit on the light side, and probably shows cold vintage character, but it is very finely balanced. 90 pts.
It shows well now, but I wouldn't mind cellaring this for several years longer.

Just medium bodied with en pointe dried cherry flavors and tomato leaf in the reticent style that is Domaine de la Cote. Seems fresh, was surprised by it's age. Very enjoyable.

Clear medium red. Intense, not rich cherry, pine nuts, dried tomato, and spice nose. Slightly rich but dry cherry and spice flavours and a long dry finish.
Just the right amount of richness here. IPOB , success.

Drank over several days, this has a lot of fruit, quite sweet, good freshness, darker berries, Cola. Rather monolithic at this stage, I would save for several years.

Secondary notes popping up in the glass and although this wine lacks some of the structure from a Grand Cru it still provides a complex and interesting wine with great value for money. Time to drink this now and within a couple of years or so.

TTTG (Brian's House): Similar to my last bottle. Bright red fruit/ pomegranate is framed by a roasted & meaty note that carries through the whole palate. The contrast between these notes causes unpleasant dissonance. I’m perplexed that the fruit comes across as somehow simultaneously ripe and under ripe. The backside features a leafy green streak and some stemmy grip. Average

Served blind during an eclectic Pinot Noir tasting, this wine showed a very candied, overripe cherry fruit aromatic that was combined on the palate with a strange pine/herb/mint element on the palate that's jarring in the juxtaposition to the extremely ripe and alcoholic fruit. Some at the table found the wine downright unpleasant. I thought it was drinkable, but not something I would spend money on. Imagine my shock when it was revealed as a wine from the patron saint of IPOB. Yet another case of the emperor having no clothes, only this time not the emperor one was expecting.

CT blind tasting group does new and old world Pinot (Brian's): A mess of a wine that I found undrinkable (though a couple of others at the table liked it much more than I did). It's an awkward combination of excessively ripe roasted, rhubarb, and cherry liqueur flavours, and then more astringent and underripe herbal and stemmy notes, all conveyed with the finesse of Homer Simpson's makeup shotgun (set on whore mode, of course), and finishing with alcoholic heat and a tannic bite on the back end.

Lean. Bright red fruit with some spicy notes. Lean and quite pronounced acidity. Very different from the riper and richer 2012 version of this wine, but as good.

Dark red fruit / pomegranate with bright acidity. Pleasing at the first sip but then overwhelmed by a roasted and meaty note that carried into the finish. There is a mild herbal / green streak in the finish. Nicely balanced, with some stemmy grip. Abrupt finish.

Beautiful red, sweet fruit on the nose. Raspberry, strawberry, powded sugar, sweet liquorice, rhubarb and stem. A cool Cali-nose with a distinct minerality, brilliant. Creamy and cool mouthfeel, perfectly balanced acidity. Medium long aftertaste. Dark chocolate, Zoo candy, red fruit, rhubarb, green fresh herbs, liquorice and much more. Performs superbly during the night and peeks around 15 degrees. Last bottle, wish I had more.

purplish in color with a strong nose of tart cherry and rhubarb pie. Was expecting a heavier weight given the color but very much in the medium range (not heavy at all). Very nice balance and the only real nit is that the finish isn't more than medium. A very nice bottle.

Perplexed about this bottle. Not at all as brilliant as previous ones, a lot more stem and green pepper. Edgy fruit. My bet is on bottle variation. Better day 2. Red fruit, powded sugar and tart rhubarb.

Nice bouquet: fruits and spice. Light body with very good balance. Tannins on the palate with a hint of green peppers. Very long finish. Elegant. I like the style, but I drank this too young.

Oh I wish i had more of this. A really lovely nose with raspberries, licorice and rhubarb pie. On the palate it is super elegant and fresh despite the ample fruitiness. Good acidity and a long and complex taste with hard candies, spices, minerals and discreet mouth drying tannins. There is a slight hint of sweetness, but it suits the wine very well, leading to a very balanced, harmonious and complex wine. Drinking perfectly at the moment, but will keep for years.

Amazing nose, just amazing. Pure red fruit, powded sugar, vanilla and wet stones. A very cool and elegant feeling but not without power. Nice minerality also. Same notes tastewise plus some creamy grape and chocolate. What strikes me the most is the purity of the fruit, simply perfect. A very honest and beautiful wine.

TTTG Blind Pinot: Bigger and riper than the Belle Pente, and not a very interesting example of the big-ripe-Cali style. My #6
