Second of two bottles. Cork was pristine on this one. No mustiness on nose this time. Just a nicely resolved burgundy with tertiary notes of tobacco and leather and smoke and some forest florr. Everything in its place. Good density and weight on palate. Very good.

Cork soaked through and spongy. Some bricking at rim. Dark red fruits and a little mustiness on nose. Good density on palate with resolved tannins. A slight bitterness on finish. Better on second day when fruit became a little more generous. Not bad for $25. Maybe won't improve much from here, but no rush either.

Perfect pinot, drinks so much better than a simple regional Burgundy. Mineral, graphite, firm with a nice mix od red and dark fruits and a long finish. Very slight hint of stem. Give me more!

Open aromas and very classic Bourgogne/Pinot flavors. Small red berry fruits, and just a little earthy, musty funk. Tannins are pretty soft. Pretty good bottle, in a decent drinking spot.

Store tasting. Earthy, stanky (so far so good) aromas that, interestingly, shut like a clam between vigorous swirls. The flavors are also closed; the cranberry and green apple are fairly simple right now, though the finish is long. Totally needs more time.

Very good bougogne from a controverssal vintage. Blueish, rounded fruit impressions, balanced with a jolt of acidity. Some apparent burgundy funk in the midpalate. In this bottle the acidity in the fruit was a bit more apparant

I had a different experience with this than Brooklynguy ( whose notes I appreciate as they typically match my experience). Didn't pick up the cedar, but a rich red fruit raspberry nose. Also some pretty spice in the nose. Firm structured palate, with tart acidity that persists on the finish. Also some teeth coating tannins that suggest to me that this is structured to age well. Overall I love the nose here, but even for an acidhead like me the wine seems to be out of balance right now. Needs some cellar time.

Spicy red fruits and a good amount of forest floor. It finishes with some oaky tannins, and closed up after the first hour of being open. Hold.

Pretty round and floral of black cherry. Dark fruits with estended black fruit presence on the palate. Perfectly suited for th epork loin roast.

similar to the previous note- very nice every day wine, definitely on the lean side- a complimentary wine, not a starring one.
