  • Slightly advanced.
Initially a bit flabby on the palate. Hint of caramel on the nose. But not enough that I would have sent it back if ordered from the mist.
Went through a bit of a rollercoaster over the evening with glimpses of real enjoyment and quality. But then bit flat.
Poor bottle that ended up bringing a knife to a gun fight.

  • A fine layer of matchstick reduction integrates nicely with peach and white flower aromas. Vibrant with bright acidity, crazy structure for eleven years of age, but so rich and open with its floral and mineral flavors. Great stuff.

  • This is really interesting. The ephemeral white flower, peach and agrume fragrance leads you to believe it will be a filigree delicate wine. On the palate though it is very viscous and powerful. Doesn’t fade a bit over a couple of hours. A broad wine as befits the solar vintage yet undeniably impressive. Based on the flavor profile probably best to drink soon.

  • Winos' excellent adventure in France; 6/22/2017-6/27/2017 (All over France): Expressive nose displaying succulent ripe yellow and white fruits, lemon curd, pear, freshly grated apple, a hint of yellow peach, rose, white pepper and mineral. Excellent concentration, sweet succulent yellow fruit driven palate impression, bright acidity, strong mineral presence and a lovely long sweet citrus fruit driven finish. As usual from the 12 vintage, the fruit is quite ripe and opulent yet the bright acidity and strong mineral presence provide nice balance. It needs another ten to fifteen years to reach the peak as it still shows a lot of baby fat. Really enjoyable in a very youthful way.

  • Not quite my style of wine when young but this is very well made and will be much better with time. First press pear cider, floral notes, quite perfumed nose. Floral notes helpfully calm down with air time. Incredible depth of white and yellow flowers on the palate. Acid becomes more focused and the wine warms and with air time. Some initial reduction blew off. 94+
