Still a dark, purple-red, with great intensity of colour and minimal fading towards meniscus.
This was a cooler vintage and the second of two consecutive La Nina impacted vintages. However, the ripening period was not too rain effected. I think this shows in the 3 Lindeman's Coonawarra wines - there is often some leafiness, but to me it is a bit more pronounced than usual and there is even a hint of some celery on the nose; however, there are also some enticing cassis and tobacco notes that bring it back from the brink.
The palate is succulent, redolent of cassis, a hint of blackberry, maybe a suggestion of juniper, some leafiness and tobacco but the vegetal elements are far less pronounced and this finishes with fresh acid and some fairly gentle tannins. A delightful wine - not a blockbuster but none the worse for that. This cries out to be consumed with lamb - perhaps a recipe using some juniper berries?
This note made after a 1 hour decant from screw cap. Who knows what it might be like if subjected to the Russian Roulette of cork.

Delicious full bodied but nicely balanced. Fruit and nut chocolate with firm but integrating tannins. Lovely mouthfeel and great length. Much better on day 3 after opening. Hold for 3 and drink for 15+.

Deep black purple colour. Aroma of Tobacco, oak, dried leaves and spices. Sweet plum, blackberry, dark chocolate. Fine but grippy tannin, sharp acidity. Full body, long finish. Still young and needs more time to smooth out.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Reminiscent of the 1992 vintage the 2012 release is as smooth as velvet, gorgeous body, fruit, cigar box, balance tannins and acid and lingering length on the back palate. 92+
Always great drinking this. lovely Bordeaux blend. Already supple, with blackcurrant, Blackberry and plums. Some underlying spice and oak. Hold for another 10+ years (it's screwcap) to see where it goes

Nice supple Bordeaux blend. There's blackberries, blackcurrants, plums, and some background spiced notes on the nose - like cloves and cinnamon. The palate has grippy tannins, with a medium+ length finish. Good, but will be better.

I had this sitting in my cellar for 3 months and decided yesterday to open a bottle. The nose is a mixture of alcohol/oak/red dirt and I detected a slight smell of licorice. Dark red in colour a medium bodied wine showing a medium weight of fruit, smooth to drink slight acid on the front of the tongue, slight tannin to the sides. A very well balanced wine with a nice clean finish and the usual smell of burnt currants in the glass when empty.

Great Bordeaux blend. This is supple and smooth, yet still conveys subtle depth. Blackcurrents and floral notes. Medium, slightly grippy tannins, with a medium-long finish that ends in greens and spice. Looking forward to how this develops over the next 5-10 years.

A lovely plush bordeaux blend. The blackcurrant and plumb fruit still very vibrant, with black olive, smoky meat and violet flavours in support. The finish redolent of spicy fruitcake. The tannins are exceptionally supple and super fine grained, the balance impeccable. Not as good as some of the great early 90’s vintages, but quite delicious none the less. Needs another 5-10 years to really shine.

Deep ruby. Medium plus intensity aromas of blackcurrant and vanilla with a slight hint of celery. Medium plus acid, medium plus tannin which are fine grained and persistent, medium plus length, full bodied, high alcohol. Also showing some dark chocolate on the palate. Very good wine which should improve with further age.

Gave it a three hour decant. Very dark in colour; nose of spices and fruitcake; palate is full of dark fruits and smoked meats with cedar; ripe tannins with medium acid are well-balanced; full-bodied wine with a great mouthfeel; finish is medium-long. Excellent Bordeaux blend with a long life ahead. Will improve.

Lovely Bordeaux blend but was expecting a bit more given it has some age.
