With sauteed local sea scallops, lemon/wine/dill sauce & pasta. Initially tight with lemon & oak, a bit of vanilla creaminess. Acidity is present but restrained. Expressive nose and palate, but rather one dimensional. With air time and warmth everything improves--nose develops more subtle tones, and palate really jumps a level--more complex citrus, hints of lime, light honey, bit of yellow stone fruit, floral, as vanilla/caramel edge blows off leaving a more subtle richness with fine long finish with mixed light fruit sweetness and acidity.

Straw yellow colour. Rich, ripe nose - apple, lemon zest and a touch of vanilla. Rounded and soft mouthfeel - a touch of oak and minerality along with ripe apple. Medium long finish. Drinking nicely.

Apple, pear, lemon peel and spice. Bright finish with interwoven fruit, oak and mineral notes. Good acidic balance. Served with fettuccine, prosciutto, lemon and garlic.

Aromas of apple, tropical fruit, lemon zest and brioche. Tropical fruit, citrus and toasty oak notes with bright acidity on the palate. Finishes soft and dry with beautiful mineral character. Pretty wine and good QPR. Paired with chicken soup.

Apple, peach, lemon zest and a hint of oak on the nose and palate. Leads to a crisp, dry finish with bright acidity and balanced mineral character. Nice depth, weight and mouth feel. A very pretty wine and good QPR.

Subtle green apple, melon nose, maybe some minerality. Palate shows good acidity, fresh green apple, some citrus, little oak. Well made, maybe lacking in character a little.

lemon curd aromas. a wicked burnout. clove, beer in a green bottle. not too oaky on the palate. wildly guzzle-able. just a touch of circus peanut to the palate.

'the son of' some cream in the aromas. doesn't show loads of oak. palate shows a bit edgier oak expression, not so woody, and easy wood-grained creaminess. modest rounded spice on the palate.

This is a slightly simple wine but is totally delicious with flavours in the lime and citrus spectrum. Colour is pale straw. Beautiful acid line, the wine is just nicely balanced and is a perfect aperitif or with natural oysters.

Tasted after the Neudorf 2010, this came across as the simpler wine. Very new world with a vanilla cream aspect that did not speak of the Burgundian benchmark. Clean and concentrated fruit and excellent balance certainly elevate the wine to the category of very good for my tastes and this wine certainly delivers a strong style for a reasonable cost.

Superb new world style with vivid oak handling and gorgeous oak. Suave, ripe, rich and balanced. I really envoy this wine's equilibrium. Drinking very well now but may improve (under stelvin).

Smooth, buttery and very new world but with a crystal-clear acid spine that brightens the wine. Lots of depth and a luscious texture add up to an outstanding and modern-style experience.

Excellent intensity and depth of fruit - smooth texture - subtle oak - new world in style but with plenty of verve and cut. A very good wine that may very well improve with time (under stelvin). Excellent. 88+

Grape fruit, tropical fruit and creamy buttery oak on the nose and palate with fresh zesty lime on the palate keeping it all in check.
It seems to have plenty of life left in it to improve over the next few years...Very nice now though...

Bright and clean and forceful, in a very good way. Bill says he would enjoy a bit more oak on it but i think its right in the pocket.

Australian Wine Unearthed Public Tasting (Sydney, Australia): Pear, lemon and lychee aromas. Medium length, this has a touch of heat to it as well, but hides it better than the 2011 Leeuwin AS.
