Fairly certain I overrated this two years ago. Fine bottle in a tough year. Have two more and will drink them in the next year or two.
my 2nd bottle was a bit brighter as I would expect Boushey vineyard to produce. Still should have opened this at the 5 yr mark I think.
Sadly this is about 2 years past its prime. The fruit is dull and the flavor has become a bit dusty and uninteresting.
consistent with notes 5/28/2017 although it did open up quicker.
Seemed a little weaker bodied than my previous two bottles. Good nevertheless.
Deep color and wonderful fruit nose. Red and purple fruit, balanced, smooth. Medium long finish. What is not to like.
Drinking well.
Compared to the Bedrock zin we had the same night, this was dark, funky and more of a Rhone profile. Plum, cranberry, black olive, and herb. Feels like it has a year or two before completely open.
Polished, great fruit, well integrated with mild tannins. Good stuff!
Polished and quite accessible now. Blueberry and pepper notes. Pure and tasty if fairly straightforward.
Surprisingly rich and "sweet" for a 2011. Very focused and pure.Pasquale
Wonderful stuff
