OPened as PnP from magnum; tight red berry fruit and some emptiness to start but opened up relatively quickly and the gamay really showed itself. Not sure why some notes say to "drink up". JG has this through 2035.

PNP. cork perfect. color dark garnet. nose shows enticing dark fruit and this is not marred by the matchstick of other bottlings. swishing shows considerable fruit density supporting the substantial acid core, but the balance is actually quite nice. a bit abrupt as Bojo should be, but quite nice.

Underripe strawberry, pomegranate, tobacco and saline minerality. This is focused, clean and precise but very tight even after 3 hours open. Needs a bit of time to flesh out the acidic edges but definitely promises depth and enjoyment to the patient. Give it 4+ hours of air now or a few years in the cellar.

more stemmy and less floral/lifted/bright fruited than previous vintages, muted; got better on palate after 48 hrs - less awkward - but also got seemingly riper with Christmas cake spice and darker inky fruit.

Nice cherry nose but a little strange also with a kind of stemmy/slightly lifted VA character. Nice grip, thought the acid is a tad high on the back palate and finish. What happened with these Vissoux wines in 2013?! These recent Oct 2014 Bibendum bottles under screwcap don't quite seem right? Or was the vintage just not for me?

This one's OK, not bad at all - decent fruit and not much of that stem character; firmish tannins. Still not interesting or very good though
