  • Not sure what to make of this one, no score.
Very (very) low oak treatment which I generally like, but maybe not so much in Cabernet.
    Dark appearance
    Pure cab nose
    Blackcurrant, blackberry.
Soft, tannin silky to the point of being non existent.
Seemed quite simple & short on the finish.
Lots of sediment for a wine so young (unfined?)
On this showing I really can't see it going anywhere, but I could be wrong.

  • Dark, purple appearance. Noticeably darker than many MArgaret River Cabs. Lovely Cabernet nose of cassis, spice, very bordeaux like. Very pure cabernet charecteristic on the palate but a little heat showing through from the alcohol. There's fantastic purity in this. This will age well - another 7 years or so will see it drinking beautifully but another 10+ will be no problem at all. It will develpo and grow but will retain a sense of place remaining a MR wine. Bought at the cellar door and consumed at home.
