Love this wine. Solid from start to finish. Tart cherries, petrichor, blood orange. Incredibly fragrant, mouthwatering mid palate texture. Fresh and firm. Not as rich as previous iterations of Abbey-Harris but that’s ok. This is all lean muscle. Still fully present and a pleasure to drink. Delish.

You love to find a forgotten bottle. Here’s an Anderson Valley Pinot with some age on it. Medium-light in color, more on the reddish end. Pungent aromas of sappy pine, forest floor, spice, and cherry matching the flavors. Round mouthfeel transitions with zippy acidity and light though noticeable tannin. Strong and elegant.

This is one of the lighter abbey Harris I have had. Still lovely, quite feminine, but mid palate doesn't have any weight. Again, a lovely drink, but knowing other vintages, this one doesn't have the depth.

High toned and quite exotic nose of roses, cinnamon, herbs, and cherries.
Balanced palate with nice tension. Wild raspberries, apple skin, spice.; Nice acid through the palate. Finishes with acid, spice and fine grained tannin.

Lighter red coloring, almost a clear rim, definitely the appearance of a light bodied PN. Allowed it to decant for 60 minutes and served at 60 degrees. Aroma has tons of ripe, fresh, crisp red apple, floral, very soft raspberry. The palate screams cherry, raspberry, roses, with a very mild hint of mint. Don’t get much apple despite the aroma. Enjoyed over 90 minutes and it held up completely. Almost no acidity, medium finish, probably good for years to come.

Prior bottle was nearly 11 months ago and my notes were virtually identical. Earth red raspberry, floral and forest floor notes on the nose. Medium bodied and the flavor profile remained consistent as well with red raspberry upfront with enough acidity and mineral notes to feel very youthful. Mid-body again shows increased concentration as well as a purity of fruit. The acidity and mineral notes work quite well with the fruit to create balance. Tart red berry, almost cranberry towards the back where the acidity takes a step up, but when coupled with the fruit, provides a really nice finishing transition. This wine has a number of years ahead of it as it opens up and continues to integrate. Very enjoyable now and over the next 5 years.

Young, although not at all closed after being slow ox’d in bottle for 2 hrs. Red cherries, pomegranate, rhubarb. Some floral notes. Touch of forest floor and pine needles. Should have cellared for 2-3 more yrs. Very enjoyable, although not at its peak.

Complex nose of red cherries, dark berries, rhubarb, and a hint of cedar. Wonderful balance on the palate with flavors of berries, violets, and pomegranate. Long finish. This is a gorgeous wine, still young and will probably improve over the next 5+ years. Got better and better with air. 95+

Spice and black fruited nose, bright soft tannin body. Feminine. Not getting any forest floor others have mentioned. Drinking well now and improved over the course of the night, so going to save my other bottle for at least 2 more years.

Young, but not at all inaccessible. Just that I definitely had the sense there's more to offer 3-5 years out. Red and black fruit. Fresh, not at all heavy. I also like it for what it is not. Not candied. Not overtly sweet. No cola. I think this vineyard is really close to Rhys' Bearwallow, and I think I slightly prefer this to my last bottle of that wine from this vintage.

Mineral accented raspberry and forest floor on the nose. Medium bodied (13.6% ABV) with soft, rounded raspberry upfront, picking up depth and acidity-derived contrast and brightness through the middle. Tart red berries and very nicely integrated spices through the back. Acidity and tannins provide excellent, balanced structure as well as a lengthy finish. Ultimately, this isn't a wine of tremendous complexity, but it is a wine of exceptional purity and balance. All the elements seem to flow harmoniously and while the wine is drinking beautifully today, there are no worries about it going downhill anytime soon. May show some modest improvement over the next year or two, but I suspect it should be able to hold this level or better for another three years beyond that. I'll save my next bottle until at least late 2018, hopefully 2019.

Pop and pour. Tatsed without food. Ruby color. A bit cloudy. Nose of forest floor and brown spice. Some light mushroom element as well as sour cherry. Good fresh red berries and cranberries in the initial flavor profile, with some brown spice and basil coming in at the end. Light, with good acidity. Nice.

Pop and pour and enjoyed with food (a grilled reuben, in case you were wondering). Good ruby red color. Nose presents an earthy herbal note with forest floor. Good acidity and tartness, mwith a mix of red berries and tart cranberry elements. Acidity gives this an angular edge on the finish. Threw off some sediment. Nice wine.

I served this in my wine course. Relatively high pitched, Cote du Beaune style nose. Wow, fantastic balance in the mouth. Only slightly riper than the Volnay. Among the most elegant CA pinot noirs that I've experienced.

tart cherry, great fruit no sign of age I usually drink my Anthill after 5 years but maybe not ageing them long enough.

Flowery slightly soapy nose. Intense cherry mouth with some mild brown barkiness. Moderate length that’s simpler than the mouth but okay.
