Tasted vis-a-vis the 2014, this is much richer, heavier, more tutti-frutti. Still a young wine, very sexy, very easy to love – if you love Condrieu. I do. Also on day 2, certainly, seems a bit more relaxed now. #lunch#H&N&Co.

Deep yellow color. Exotic, tropical fruits. Seems further ahead than the 2011, also richer in nature, more bold. Interestingly this firms up after a few hours of air, turns more tight and mineral. On the night, the 2011 was my favorite, this one needs more cellar time I think.

A: gold, developed N: Roses P: Light on entry then very thick and substantial. Rose water and mango. Fully Dry. Weighty, alcoholic finish. =: a substantial serious wine. not to everyone's taste (e.g Celia). Great match for the hake in white wine/garlic/parsley.

Rich and opulent Condrieu, young, even with a hint of wood. Needs plenty of air to open up and is much better on day two. Is on notes of orange, melon, minerals, still typical Condrieu at its heart. Needs more time.

Lighter than the Chanson, who outperformed it tonight, tutti-frutti, honey, minerals, very young wine with lots going on; others thought it oxidized, could not have been further from the truth, on day 3, this is still singing with no signs of fatigue whatsoever.

Much darker color compared to the Clos Chason, more opulent and rich as well and more on exotic fruit flavors. It might be that this particular bottle was slightly off. Perfectly enjoyable nonetheless, but on the night the Clos Chanson was the best of the two.

Beautiful bouquet. Lucious creamy mouth feel. Honeydew and apricot flavors with just a hint of sweet, but it's dry with medium acid and has a nice minerality to it that's perfectly refreshing as we sit on the beach overlooking San Francisco Bay.

Very heady, very rich and very creamy Condrieu. Was paired with Mont d'Or au four (one clove of black garlic and washed with 3 cl of fino sherry). On the nose, slight almonds with mango, peach, apricot and a hint of lime. On the palate, mango lassi. Very intense, needs food but so nice. Would have again.

Note : 16,75/20 i.e. 93/100

Nice to see this wine again at a more relaxed setting, it is still wonderful and in perfect balance with the exotic fruit now more withdrawn but the concentration intact and with loads of intense minerality and considerable gras. I still prefer this to the Chanson... #with PB & Michelle Aubery (Gramenon) @Les Florets, Gigondas

Northern Rhone with Jordan Mackay (SF Wine Center): Medium straw with reflections of gold. Fresh nose of fresh apricot, fresh peach, fruit loops, slight white pepper, sweet rose petals, juicy ripe peach with a hint of cream (1/3 in oak, 25% new barrels). Dry, medium plus body, medium plus alcohol - 14%? (correct), medium minus acid, medium plus bitterness. Oily on the palate - some viscosity and glycerol here. Fresh apricot on the finish. Low acid but has a mineral energy that makes it finish clean. Very nice. Maybe my favorite Condrieu ever? 8.5-9

Straw yellow. Rich, flowery nose with lots of peaches and some violets. Rich, full bodied and elegant taste with low acidity and aromas of peaches, nectarines, mature lemons, fresh apricots and a little hint of violets. Long aftertaste. Excellent wine!
Drinkable today, but will obviously evolve with some time.

Just a quick look at the Decouvertes, but enough to be blown away; this is rich, mineral, harmonius with loads of the appellations exotic fruit, yet enough acidity to keep everything in place. A great example of this wine - and to day just a hair ahead of the Coteau de Vernon.

Stunning intensity of ripe peaches and apricots on the nose, white flowers and wet stones too. Fresh and saline on the palate with great length. Another excellent vintage. 92-93+

Voldsom intensitet og fylde, nesten litt oljete - fersken, pære og fin mineralitet. Kraftpakke. Flott vin. Kan drikkes nå eller ligge.

Possibly my favourite cuvee of Condrieu and excellent as always, but not as astounding as some of the other scores imply I'd say.

Good steely minerally beauty, high toned notes of violet, dried apricot, crushed stone and a touch of kerosene. Dry, refreshing, great aperitif
