Now past it's prime - though it got back to nearly what it was on day 2. Sad because this is one of my favs. If you have it in this vintage - drink ASAP with a long decant

Garnet in the glass, candied fruit and earth on the nose, quick forming tears, palate is fruit driven with sweet cherry licorice, cherry, dried strawberry, baking spices and a long lingering finish. Classic, delicious SLH fruit profile. Very nice.

Almost perfect Sta Lucia highlands PN. Light earth on the nose, strawberry, cherry, some cola and pomegranate on the palette. All the notes are there. Not as earthy as I usually like but not a demerit. The Doctors designated vineyard is one of the Holy Grail plots up in Monterrey. Never disappointing.

I guess I am a hard grader. Cherry, cola (lots of cola), raspberry, vanilla and a touch of earth. More tart than I expected, Maybe better with another year in the bottle. Best with sautéed mushrooms. Ok with chicken. Maybe better with lamb or salmon? Ok QPR at $20 close-out price but expensive at $40. Maybe drink now or hold a year or two.
100% French oak with only 20% new oak. Only 36 barrels made in 2010.

Very nice pinot with no hard edges. Actually a bit softer than the 2009 which I also liked. If you see it, try a bottle. The QPR is outstanding. Way better than Meiomi and about the same price. Nothing comparable in that price range. And as good as wines that cost 50 % more.

Meiomi style but retains some varietal character. Seems to be aging quickly, drink up.
