Smooth, easy-drinking Napa cab. Nothing complex about it, but the fruit is nicely balanced and not overly juicy or jammy. Prob not worth the $40-50 price point.

Bottle was flawed. Not corked per say but def flawed. This had been one of my fav Kuleto's from that year. Given the lower score on my last bottle, these must be about at their drink by date.......

Consistent with previous bottles tasted June, 2017 and November, 2016. Medium eggplant in color, this wine shows focused aromas of black currant, blackberry, lead pencil graphite and black licorice on the nose. The mouth feel is full bodied with subtly sweet tannins and more black fruits and tobacco undertones. The finish is very open and medium in length. 14.5% abv.
Purchased for $40US, this is a very approachable, well made offering that is drinking nicely even with no decant at this time. I thoroughly enjoyed all 3 of the bottles I purchased.

One of a significant number of cabs from this winery, not their most heralded or expensive, yet maybe one of their better entries. Coravined a big glass for myself tonight and enjoyed it over an hour after a lasagna dinner and finishing a 2009 Tor Kenward Cimarossa cab. The Tor seemed almost flat in comparison. This was dark garnet with a lighter garnet edge. Pretty classic Cali cab nose of red/black fruit, immediate dryness of the tannin on entry, juicy berry notes, just a little hot yet, but the delicious flavor makes you forget about that. The acidity leads to a long finish lasting 45-60 seconds after your last swallow. Maybe a little licorice on the back end, too. This is a surprisingly good cab for the money. I have spent more recently and liked them a lot less. Glad I have the rest of a case to enjoy. With the whiff of alcohol still detected and the fairly strong, dry tannins, I would expect this wine to drink well for another 5-8 maybe even 10 years.

Vinturied into the decanter and let sit for 90 minutes. Dark ruby-purple/black cherry in appearance. Nose of sweet blackberry syrup with a hint of saddle leather. On the palate, the tannins made themselves present right away on the front palate; it is then followed by blackberry jam with some black peppers and a hint of dark green herbs at the end; some airiness on the medium palate; some sweetness is detected. Medium bodied with a medium+ finish. Part of Last Bottle's mystery collector 6 pack.

Deep purple in colour. Exhibits black cherry, damson plum and mulberry aromas along with milk chocolate. Expansive and bold with fine-drawn tannins, good balance of fruit and acidity with the alcohol. New World pureness of fruit and immediate charm here.

The wine was very good. It has low acidity. The body is full, finishes long and is brick colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine has polished texture. 90+

Color of black cherries and egg plant. Nice legs on the glass. Tight nose, with notes of vegetables and sweetness. Heavy tannins and dryness. Flavors are unusual - notes of grass, cloves and sour cherry - without the sweetness of the nose. Medium to heavy in body. Good wine but too dry and I'm not picking up much in the way of fruit flavors for my tastes. As the wine decants, sweetness develops and mouthfeel improves. May be better with a few more years of mellowing. 88-89.

Pizza on the grill means must have Kuleto. Absolutely splendid cab. 1.5 hour decant. Deliciously smooth. Strong blackberry. Will get more. So good, so smooth.

Really nice Napa cab. Pencil lead, clove, licorice, blackberry on the nose. Beautiful fruit flavors with Refined tannins that are silky smooth on the palate, with a nice long finish. Wish I had more.

Their basic cab, nice but not as good as 1-2 years ago. Nice basic cab, nothing more at this point.

PnP. Tannins were a little aggressive out of the bottle but tamed quickly. Red and black fruit. Second glass was much better. Quite a bit of sediment.

Classic fruit forward Napa Cab. Took to dinner at STK and it paired very well with the Ribeye and Filet.
