Well past its prime - generic fruit not very well integrated with savory aged characteristics. I don't think this wine was intended to go until 2016, so no real demrits.

The suggestion for this wine was to drink by 2010. I have to say this was perfectly balanced and absolutely ready to enjoy now. Good fruit. Balanced tannins and avid. Just enough of the zin pepper even though it was a blend of several varietals.
Ridge Rocks.

Light but deep color. Nose show pepper, cedar and currants. Taste has raspberries, pepper and great mouth feel with the tannins. A little hot but overall very nice zin.

Another excellent wine from Ridge -which has become my favorite winery as of late- medium bodied, super spicy and a decent tannin structure. not quite up to the single vineyard stuff, but great in it's own right.

Light ruby colour. Nose was warming and spicy. We picked up blackberry, brambles, fire place. lots of fruit. On the palate it was more of the same - spice, peppery, but also a hint of mushroom? Lovely compliment to duck with cherries.

Ridge always works - Greatly enjoyed during our camping trip with burgers, bright purple, with notes of berries, plums, spice and oak on the nose, nicely extracted with a smooth and long finish, excellent (90 Points).

My wife and I brought this wine to a gathering tonight. It was very closed when first poured. After being given time in the glass it opened up. Very fruit forward with a great mouth feel. I will buy this wine again.

A full-throttle but not over-the-top Zin ... Ripe, complex with good structure. This wine offers much more than your typical jammy, fruit-bomb. This should continue to drink well for a number of years.

Medium to light- bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Nice fruit, light tannins. A nice choice when you feel like a red but having something traditionally paired with white.

Color was a bit light. Medium bodied wine. Lightly spicy nose. Flavors of currant, plum and cherries. Good mouthfeel and finish. This is how I like Zins to taste. It was slightly drying, but not too bad. WOTN for all in the group by far.

Decanted 2 hours. Lighter ruby red in color. Subdued nose of bright red fruit. Fairly light style - taste of bright red fruit, coupled with good component of acidity. Very one dimensional. Would have liked a bit more fruit or zin spice. One of the lightest Ridge Zin's I have sampled. At $15 not expecting much, but I thought it would deliver a touch more. Perhaps a bit young??

Definitely not as good as the 2003 Three Valleys but still decent. Medium to full bodied with some cherries and spice but you can feel the alcohol even though it is only 14.1 percent, which is not high for a zin based wine. While we usually tried to keep a couple of bottles of the 03 on hand, we will not do the same with the 04.

Definitally drank way to young as this was bottled only a few months ago. Medium-bodied with notes of dried berries, cranberries, cherries, and a little oak.

- Ruby color. It's somewhat balanced with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Had it with pork bellies? Really nice wine.

Had a taste. Tasty, jammy fruit. Not a lot of structure underneath, but tasty for this price level. Will try to buy.
