I have to admit, I have real difficulty not flying through a bottle of this in a day & a half, former username nothwithstanding. The most evanescent of soft intros, then tomato, graphite, blackberry, hoisin, stinging nettles/green iron, black pepper, then a perfect blend of granular tannins, acidity and spice on the long-enough denouement. The '11 was identical about 6 weeks ago. France's loss, America's gain. Envy of the community member who bought cases of this @auction for 8 bucks a bottle may well get me to jump into the auction pond
Day 3 remnant tasted like craisins and raisins and really delicious grapes (ikr)

Lots of extraction here for such a modestly priced wine. The fruit is dark and rich, but monochromatic... a bit simple. The tannins are very soft and this was quite ready to drink.

BIG PS here, needs time settle down, but showed well and garnered positive comments at a Christmas luncheon. Plenty of dark fruits wood and tannins. Revisit in a couple of years, or 10+.

Dark purple in the glass as you would expect from a PS. Very fruity nose—of dark berries. Big hit of fruit on introduction—“sweeter” than blackberry, more like blueberry. Not a blockbuster PS. Very light on both tannin and acid. More of an easy drinker. Very easily worth the $15 I spent on it.

Big black and blue fruit aromas. Such a nice representation that delves into a little bit of blue fruit territory. Blueberry pie spice. Rich, but not sweet. Lovely expression.
Petite Sirahs on a Satruday Afternoon (ICASI): This brought me back. There was a time I drank a lot of this. Its been a decade or so though. Purple in color. The nose is nice black raspberries. On the palate, this is soft and easy to drink. A bit thinner. Nice balance. Not as "serious" as most wines on the table, I would drink in the next five. No idea about pricing but this used to be under $20, if it is still that, this is a nice entry level PS.

WAY too much oak. Not enough fruit to support. Still pulling splinters out of my tongue. Bummed because Wooters really talked it up and I bought 6... Hope it improves...

A delightful nose of blueberry capote, river rock, white pepper and Schezwan sauce. A medium finish that trails after a fine frame. Polished tannins that are slight as this is ready to be enjoyed now. Drink 2015 - 2020.

They are the first petite producers in California apparently. Black cherry cherry cola. And great tannin structure. That is delicious stuff.

A great everyday wine. Lots of spice with good tannins that are not typical of a petite Sirah.

Nice wine, very easy drinking. Deep dark red color, nose of dark berries, leather. Nice long-ish finish. Still drinking well on day 2. Would buy again
