Wow, I loved this. It’s easily the best Burgundy of this year. One of only two bottles… this was beautifully dark red fruited, mostly dark red cherry, with iron traits and bauxite thoughts. I loved it for its richness and weightlessness. It had a lovely spice component, Vosne-like almost, Christmas spice and clay road petrichor. This had a great mouthfeel, poise and balance. I would love to find a few more of these!

Once again solid showing. This is light flowing with red berries. Left half the bottle open in the cooler for the next day and showed equally as well. Terrific wine. Don’t get the comments about vintage here. If you expect a village wine, you are getting a good one here.

Very enjoyable. Wife loved it. A simple wine. Light fresh red berries with some structure and silky tannins. The crowd here seems to be overly tough on this one. That said, I think it’s price driven. If this was under $100, people would rave but at the current price it’s a little tougher to get excited.

Even Fourrier can't overcome the vintage. Started off w promising intensity of wild strawberries and cream but couldn't hold up w air. Just got more pedestrian and thinned out with time. Middle of road village level wine but prices are ambitious.

Soft, muddy maroon in color. Warm, warm hotter spice, earth, and dark red fruits in the nose. Easy drinking with still active tannins on the palate. Simple but beautiful bourgougne rouge! Enjoy.

Limited notes while having dinner at Bistrot d’Hotel in Beaune. Had a really lovely nose with some floral potpourri and sweet red fruit, moderate acidity with fresh red/black fruit and a little spice - would have liked a touch more tanins for a better finish.

SLDS September 2016: Graphite, cherry, earth and spice. Palate has plenty of earthy fruit and good structure. Feels really well composed. Balanced and young, with potential for plenty more.

Took this a while to start to taste like a Burgundy. A while longer to start to show itself as a Fourrier. Started out as a dead-ringer for a young OR pinot. A little bit of white pepper, and some noticeable tannins initially. Eventually rounds out to a quite fruity and delicious Burgundy of decent complexity. This one was opened in the name of science; wait at least three years before diving in again.
What a lovely and quite approachable wine. Bright red color and beautuful nose. Cherries, strawberries and good portion of sous bois, liquorice, and vanilla. Medium and tasty tannins. Quite enjoyable now even though young.

Leiden last event in 2018: Gorgeous red fruit nose and taste, lots of structure and concentration. Typical elegant Fourrier wine.
