Deep ruby/purple color. Black raspberries, black cherries, minerals and spice in the nose with hints of floral and tobacco Raspberries and cherries in the flavor with notes of spice. An elegant wine, well balanced, full bodied, great texture and a long finish. Drinking very well right now. 93/94

This is definitely a style that has fallen out of favor. Massively ripe berries with medicinal/menthol edges. Still alive but no structure or acid. Probably past prime.

A nose of dark fruits and spice, dark purple in color. A bold full bodied Rhone blend, with black cherry, raspberry, cherry liquor, cola and spices on finish. Drinking great now. www.winelx.com

Nice wine, although a little more jammy and fruit forward than I typically prefer. Considering that it is 70% Grenache, my comment is seemingly a bit misplaced, as I would have expected much more than 8% Syrah in a wine I describe this way. Well, this is not really a science, just trying to verbalize a memory.

Pnp. No bricking, no sediment. Still lots of bright fruit. Tannins still present. Calmed down from initial tasting years previous. Went well with richness of crab cakes and roast duck. Very alive tonight.

A lovely Grenache blend! It's now fully integrated and smooth as silk, no overt tannin, the Grenache is up front and beautiful. Don't see how it can get a lot better from here, so just enjoy it. There was a glass left over uncorked in the bottle overnight, we tried it the next day... still terrific, so it has years of life left.
3/14 another bottle, same review but maybe 95 for a while. Love it :)

Patience was rewarded. The different varietals in this offering have integrated perfectly since last tasted a few years ago. Pine needles and ocean spray in the bouquet, and a lush, velvety texture on the palate, followed by a bold, yet ultimately restrained, finish. Soy sauce, black raspberries, Asian spices and cedar notes throughout. The texture is astounding. Drink now to 2023. Outstanding.

Very similar to previous bottle from 7-8 months ago. Soft, peppery grenache backed up by Rhone varietals. Nice fruit with a bit of leather, white pepper and herb. Unobtrusive tannins on the finish.

After years on the list, we've been priced out of LC wines, but we snagged a couple of bottles of this when we visited the winery a couple of years ago. This was delicious. A come-hither bouquet and inky dark in the glass. The Syrah (less than 10%) seems predominant, overshadowing the Grenache. And it's still very young. Tannins are still at the forefront. Blackberries, currants, ripe raspberries and tobacco leaf. Long finish. Suggestion: Tuck this back into the cellar for a couple of years, and dust it off in 2019. (= Worth Seeking Out)

Juicy grenache fruit in a lower acid, softer texture format dominates the other Rhone varietals. Nice aromatics with ripe fruit and savory notes on the finish. Drinking nicely at this point. Doesn't seem built for long term aging.

HdR Farewll BBQ (Hospice du Rhone): A bit tight right now. Showing a lot of cherries and dark cherries. Bright acidity. Some spice/oak as well. Nice texture although strong tannins. Improved a bit with air.

Popped and poured, nice deep red color in the glass, cloudy Open nose, deep cherry and spice notes A bit hard on the palate - decant and airing will help Not as smooth as other LC offerings, but the Grenache expression here is unique and delicious

Had this side by side with a Problem Child from same vintage. Both exhibited the winemaker's signature, which makes most of the L.C.'s quite identifiable on blind tasting (the producer, more so than the varietal blend). This was nice, but less expressive on the nose, less refined in the mouth, and had a shorter finish than its sibling.

Tasting at Linne Calodo (At the Winery - Templeton, CA): The Grenache (70%) plays lead here. Very lush. Packs a punch up front, provides thrills on the palate and tails off toward the finish. A red flower/rose bouquet with raspberries, currants and sweetened cranberries erupting on the tongue. A 60-second finish, easily. Tannins peek in and out, sometimes overwhelming the palate right now. My guess, though, is that time will take the edges off of this wine, making this more of a cellar candidate than a "drink me now" wine. Still . . . It's luscious.

Wow. Delish. At 70% Grenache we were expecting a little lighter, but not complaining as it drinks like a jammy paso Syrah blend.
