Still in the window, but it is closing. Primarily dark fruit, mild tannins, and a relatively short finish. This won't get better and it may be a little past prime.

Concentrated red cherry & strawberry jam with a bit of green stem. Spicy and long finish. A bit of residual sugar. A little heat at 15% ABV. Good for an <$30 pinot.

My notes mirror exactly the description the posting immediately preceding mine. Enjoyed last night with dinner. Decanted half the bottle, and had the other half pop and pour style. No difference. A pleasant pinot but disappointed considering the price. Very typical flavors and structure for the appellation, but little complexity, short finish, but good balance.

Medium purple in the glass with aromas of sour cherry and dark red fruit. There’s also a bit of basement and wood with some baking spice.
Dark and brooding on the palate. There’s a big floral experience here with a dark cherry core. Medium tannins and a little bit of acidity on the finish that doesn’t intrude much at all. I get the medicinal quality that others have mentioned here, but it’s not unpleasant. A good pinot but definitely not Hartford’s best. It seems a bit muddled, like it’s unclear what it wants to be, hence the score below what others have tendered.

A big Pinot Noir... tastes like a cherry cream pie laced with Luden's cough drops. Very much reminds me of a Kosta Browne RR in style. A crowd pleaser and one that will appeal to new world palates. Give it at least 30 minutes to breath because it is so big.

Decanted for 20-30 minutes. From my first taste of this wine 2 years ago, it's continued to evolve and has turned into quite a stunner. Big nose, with red fruits, eucalyptus, and pepper. Medium-full body continues the theme of the nose. Very little earthiness, would make you think twice that it's even a Pinot - but just for a second. This is a Syrah drinker's Pinot, if that even makes sense. Delicious!

Not really seeing what the recent CT notes are talking about. This was a big Pinot. Clocking in at 15%, it drank hot. Also a bit medicinal on the finish. Silky and plush, but lacking finese. Maybe it just needs time. I'll come back in a few years on my other bottle.

This keeps getting better. The RR fruit is perfect, with hints of chocolate, and a beautiful spicyness grips you before a long finish. Certainly evolved from a year ago. Time to grab another case!

While the Far Coast is still my favorite, Land's Edge is still an incredible Pinot! Had next to a Line 39 pinot, which was fairly one dimensional. The Hartford has berries, plum, oak and spice. Big nose, body and finish. Great wine, but ough to spend $40 on it... If it wasn't so hard to find, the extra 10-20 bucks for Far Coast is so worth it!

Family Winemakers Tasting San Francisco, this is the low end of their range of Pinot Noir, nose of black cherry, plum, and a touch of cranberry, same on the palate, medium/big body, tasty, fairly fruit forward, might be better in another year, touch simple, medium/long finish.

West of West SF Tasting, nose of rich fruit, earth, licorice, and berry, more of the same on the palate, medium/big body, mouth filling but light fruit, good flavors for the price, better than a value Pinot Noir, better compared to tasting last year, medium/long finish, more appealing to me than the Far Coast.

Delicate but still complex. Darker fruit and nice spice both in the nose and palate with just the right amount of acid to keep me coming back for more. The nose on day 2 was addictive, a great wine to just sit back tucked in the couch and smell.

tasted along side the 2012 Fog Dance, it had a tough comparison. This was slightly bright with red fruit. A little disjointed and just a little too bright for me. (Although I would prefer this than some of the Syrah type pinots that you find in CA.) But many wines would struggle next to the Fog Dance's lush mouthful.

Big nose, smooth fruity body. Medium body with fair complexity and finish. This is still a fantastic pinot for being an entry level Hartford Court, and a Pinot in the $40 range.

Deep cherry color. Cherry, berry, smoke, licorice, menthol. Medium+ body. Nice texture, fairly long brambly finish. A little oaky at the moment, but still a nice drink.

Seems like it is past its prime. Fruit is tasting a bit more like dried/over-ripe fruit with acid becoming dominant on the palate

Opened and poured with dinner on 5/25 and on 5/26; big Pinot with tons of red fruit; consistent across both nights. Nice smooth finish.
