To my taste ready to roll, opened with a plum note that dominated for the first half hour, then settled nicely into the background. Tannins resolved, still in balance, but would err on the side of drinking. Should hold for a few more years but given how it showed tonight why wait? Served with lamb loin chops-nice match.

This bottle was double decanted and had some fine sediment. The cork and wine were in good shape. It was very enjoyable over two evenings, although i thought it had a slight tannic finish. It will probably be fine for a few more years but I am not sure much will be gained by doing so.

This has come together beautiful. Decanted for 90 min. Powerful bouquet. There is nothing subtle about it. Bold, spiced, and nice acidity. Smoke, vanilla, mushroom, over ripe strawberry. Firm tannins and long finish. I was disappointed in first two bottles, but the time is right to drink now.

I don't know, not sure I like it. Pop and pour, a little too acidic at this point, which is a bit surprising. Maybe needs more air and I can give it an update over time
For the price, it doesn’t get much better than this. Chocolate, cigar box, cherry. So smooth and approachable. Firm tannins. Nice balance. Medium long finish.

Nice wine. Decanted 90 minutes. Pleasant aromas of vanilla and blueberries. On the palate, silky, full minus body with a balanced texture and integrated tannins. In the middle of dry and sweet with a smooth, non-astringent finish. Should continue improve into 2020, but is ready to go now. Fair QPR and would buy again.

Pop and pour at a restaurant. Medium to full bodied and much more approachable than expected. Tannins are chalky and grip but not to the point of harshness. Acidic palate with tart redfruit, cassis, tobacco, and some oak. Average all around but good for the price. Might improve in 5 years.

Enjoyed this more than last bottle. Not wowed but certainly enjoyed. Mid range in every category. Mid fruit, mid tannin, mid acid, mid finish, mid complexity.
The wife and I snuck a small glass each via coravin. This stuff is awesome! I has some bright fruit but with tannin and acid to make a well structured, food wine. It will be fun to watch this age.

I just had this from a magnum - wow, it's tasting just gorgeous right now. It's so lush and luxurious, but still has a nice streak of acid and tannin to make a great food pairing. I like this a lot and wish I had more in my cellar.

An easy drinking cab - smooth and soft. Less of a fruit bomb and more elegant than I expected it to be, with nice red cherry and currant flavors. Seems as ready as it will ever be.

Not impressed. Nothing stood out. Nice smooth cab notes. Cassis, red fruit, soft tannins. Little structure. Finish clean. Balanced. Hoping for improvement with age bu soft tannins concern me for aging.
Will prob gift to semi wine drinkers.

We had this wine at dinner after a Chilean Ramirana, which I confess was opened by mistake. This is a very good Cab, starting with fruit and a peppery taste. But I found it a bit hollow in the mouth. It is too gentle for my taste. The Ramirana was unanimously chosen as the evening best.

Medium plus nose shows menthol, baking spice, anise, dried black plum. Palate has nice layers of similar black, brooding fruit, then nice freshness appears, like the sun just came out of the clouds, blackberry, white pepper, sweet red peppers, medium plus tannins, high alcohol gives it power and a medium plus finish. A little different and fun to drink.

A beautiful Washington Cab nose of blackberry, chocolate, cedar box and shortbread. Cassis and chocolate on the palate. Nicely balanced. Fine tannin. It became a little too lush for my taste as it warmed.

Decanted 1 hour and consumed over 3 hours. Decanting is a must and would give it 2 hours next time. This is a very complex, earthy-style juice and is one of the highest caliber Bordeaux blends of this style that Ive had from Washington. At $42, this would easily stand up to most Frenchy-equivalents at 3 times the price. Great QPV. Drinking great now and has many, many great years ahead of it.

84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged 23 months in 60% new French oak. Decanted as this wine needs to breathe at this point. Classic Cabernet aromas of medium+ intensity show scents of black currants, dark cherry, blackberry, plum, chocolate, vanilla, cigar box, sage and thyme, cedar, cigar tobacco and a hint of dried roses all underlined by the presence of forrest floor. A structured palate with medium-plus acidity, tannins and alcohol. Firm but not overly so. Balanced flavors of currant/cassis, blackberry and plum with chocolate, vanilla and soft floral nuances that evolve on the mid-palate with tobacco, sage, wood, and earth. Long on the finish with above moderate intensity.
Overall a great Cab. Let this rest in the cellar and be rewarded! 2016-2026
