Appreciate the low 13.2pct alcohol, price point (~$40) and fruits - dark plum and raspberry. On the lighter side, so it’s a great sipper but likely wouldn’t hold up to many foods other than fish.

Very fruity and robust with flavors of blackberry and dark cherry. This is particularly impressive given that this is only 13.2% alcohol and on the lighter side in both color and consistency.

This is a great Pinot. Thin red-brick color, translucent. Dried cherry and balanced fruit and pepper. Just what I want in a typical, not overdone, Cali pinot.

Not quite for what Myles was pining in the movie. A bit thin but reasonably fruit driven. The nose and finish just don't support a rave review. I'm trying to garner some support for richness and balance but it just ain't there. Not bad but not great.

This wine touched me at first sip. Pure, fruit driven (strawberries and cherries), delicate, with fine balance and a sticking finish. A touch of heat in the finish I could well have lived without but not worth to complain about really. I found it best pretty much right out of the gate and a bit on the chilled side. Kept in decanter for 4 hours without seeing any improvement. With caveat that I have not had this producer before, I find it for near term consumptions. A bargain for the price here in Norway (approx. EUR 25). Inclined to buy more. 90-91p.

Cloudy color. Nose is earthy and a touch sweet. Nice balance - just a touch of heat. Slightly thin. Well made wine. Not a great value, but I'm intrigued and would like to try the single vineyard wines.

Crimson red, transparent. Long legs. Fresh nose with cherries and red berries. There are hints of dusty archives and chocolate. The nose also has the characteristic agricultural hints I find typical of new world pinot noir. Big mouth feel, powerful. Rich with taste of red fruits. I also find hints of chocolate on in the back of the palate. There are still things I do not appreciate. A stinging sensation in the mouth and a little watery feeling at the end of the tasting curve. The wine finishes medium, has a flabby structure, while tannins seems OK. Drink now and over the next two years.
Lyserød. Lange legger. Frisk nese med kirsebær og røde bær. Hint av gammelt arkiv og sjokolade. Nesen har også det typiske jordbrukaktigen pinotpreget. Kraftig munn, fyldig.

Tasted immediately after opening. Translucent ruby colour. Dark raspberries, damp soil, cinnamon and a touch of barnyard on the nose and palate – has more of a earthy and feral feel to it than I’ve come to expect from a US Pinot. Medium bodied and fairly light on its feet, but still offers impressive depth of flavour. Very nice – combines New World ripeness and Old World “stinkyness” in a beautifully balanced package. Fantastic QPR!

Showing darker styled flavors and aromas, with plenty of forest floor, herbs and earth, it’s medium-bodied and lively on the palate, with solid texture and integrated acidity. Probably better to sit on this for a few more years to let it soften out.

Lompoc Wine Ghetto Tastings: Aromas of mushroom, spice, cherry and earth. Richly elegant palate with notes of fig and spice. Medium+ acid and silky structure through the finish. Nicely done.

Really nice. Elegant, balanced and maybe a bit light in concentration. Stemmy, slightly green for the first hour but seems to integrate with air. Maybe give these 6-12 months. My first experience with these wines and will buy more. Would have guessed Sonoma Coast.

Popped and poured. Medium ruby color. Aromas of fig & cherry, with allspice, sandalwood and dried crushed flowers, medium in intensity. Displays nice richness on the palate, along with an airy elegance. Really nice fruit intensity complimented with secondary tea and clove spice, along with slight notes of earth. Juicy acid, fine tannin, depth on the finish. This drinks like an SVD or reserve Pinot Noir- excellent overall, and a killer QPR.

Pretty much consistent with earlier notes – wouldn’t keep this for much more than another year or two, though…

This has developed (improved) from the last bottle I drank. More rounded palate, more fruit, less alcohol and sting.

Beautiful pinot. Up there with a nice au Bon climat single vineyard. Reminiscent of a baby kistler.
