This was a bright oaky yet balanced Chardonnay in the California style. The notes of hard candied lemon, muskmelon, apple, cream, wildflower honey, allspice, fresh split oak, pie crust, elderflower, and muddy claylike minerality. That is well rounded and warming This wine packs a long well built finish making it a very nice complex fireplace companion. drinks beautifully now thru - 2023.

Nice deep gold colour. Medium intense citrusy nose with a good dose of well integrated oak. Had half the bottle in decanter overnight and flavour improved significantly. On the palate medium acidic and full bodied. A lush feeling.
Good quality, like the quality for the money paid.

New World in style, big bodied yet not overtly so. Tropical fruit, Meyer lemons, and vanilla wafer notes are framed by obvious malo action. Juicy, creamy, and long, with flavors and textures that gain attractive traction after every sip. Ginger spice adds a lovely complexity on the finish. Keeps getting better the longer it sits.

The wine looks straw colored. The legs are medium. There is light sediment in the bottle. It smells like grapefruit, apple and vanilla. It tastes like biscuity, butterscotch, diacetyl (butter) and apple blossom. The body is light/medium. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.

Domestic Cab dinner (Eddie V's): Yellow tropical fruit driven nose, pineapple, passion fruit, also golden delicious, mineral and a hint of heat. Good concentration and balance but once again a hint of heat. Quite enjoyable.

2015 Napa Trip - Day 3: Color of pale straw, with almost a little bit of green. Full bodied, with a creamy texture. Minimal oak. Ashleigh felt that this was too buttery, but didn't strike me as such. I agree that this is generally not my style of white, but for some reason I dug this. Not enough to buy any at this price, but I did like it.

The only non french wine opening for the evening. Very Californian, pineapple and lemon, with plenty of oaky vanilla. A bruiser and a fan favorite

Nicely balanced with good minerality.
Soft lovely melon fruit and honeysuckle. 75% malolactic fermentation. Finish ebbs a bit.

Really liked this. Just a little oak, definitely not over the top like the typical Napa style. Crisp, slight acidity.

Very light, crisp and creamy Chardonnay. Hint of oak, but not over the top. Great for a hot summer afternoon in the boat or around the water.
