Yes there's an abundance of fruit sweetness and oaky vanillin but despite this a very quaffable wine with an acceptable level of acidity to balance some of the sweetness out. Semi long simple but pleasant finish. Good value for money and well suited for the old fashioned Danish kitchen.

Got this for $20 on sale. I think you'd be hard pressed to find another Cali cab at this caliber for $20 or less. Value here is really quite impressive.

not bad but not as good as earthquakes Zinfandel. A little too much cherry and raspberry put it a little off balance but other than that there were notes of chocolate and licorice to counter it. Full bodied and smooth texture. Bottom line i would not buy again... i've had better $24 wines, including their Zin

I'm not typically a huge cab fan (can be too tannic for me), but I absolutely loved this wine. Dominant notes of chocolate and dark fruit, plus some notes of graham cracker were present on the nose. Was a bit tannic, but tannins were integrated well into the experience and fet more like a "wow" than an "ow."

This wine drinks more like an opulent, over-the-top Zinfandel like Turley than it does a Cabernet. Dense aromas of baked fruit, blueberry pie, smores, vanilla ice cream. Palate has firm but fine tannins, with a medium plus finish. however, it's far too sweet for my taste. I guess it plays into the dessert-filled nose but it's a bit too much, even for me. It's definitely interesting, but it feels like it's trying a bit too hard to make an impression.

Thick dark chocolate and dark fruit, a little too much for me. Creates too sour of a taste in my opinion. I'm sure this works for others, just not my thing. The dope label was the highlight for me.

Deep dark and opaque purple in color. Deep nose of blackberry, tobacco, and cherry. Full mouth feel, round and velvety. Dry and slightly tannic with flavors of cherry. Good wine, not sure if it is worthy of $25.

Very good and one the best values I have had in 2013 Cali cab (this is from Lodi). Gorgeous deep fruit, gentle acidity and soft chewy tannins (not the kind that distract from enjoyment of the wine). Gosh, this was just pure enjoyment and reminded me of what Cali cab can be. I will put a few of these down. This is a winner.

Beautiful Cab... Once it finally opened up. (About 2-3 hours for us) Cherry notes with a slightly bitter finish that diminished as it opened. Held up well for a very drinkable 2nd day.

A nose of bold dark fruits and spice, dark purple grant in color. A full bodied Cab, with blackberry, cassis, licorice and spices on finish. Needs a decant, still has some heat. www.winelx.com

Opaque purple, almost black, nose of blueberry, blackberry preserve, bramble, vanilla, oak, cassis. Chewy tannic blackberry mouth. Too sweet and rich for me. Not bad for a glass or two during the week but did not refine at all with a long decant which leads me to believe its heavily engineered. Richness became nauseating after a while.

Dried earth with cherry, and a bit of cinnamon on the nose. Palate is dried cherries, earth and a bit of a bright floral note on the finish. Smooth with some tannin on the finish. Really nice, and actually... case worthy.

A nice bouquet of floral and a bowl of red fruit. Taste is a fruit explosion up front of red currant, cassis, plum, and Bing cherries. Thick viscous on the tongue, then fades into tart pucker in the mid as the acids kick in. Tannins finish this out with a smooth dryness that lingers for some time. This is a really good wine.

Nose consistent with last tasting, but left a better impression overall. The end felt just a bit more put together than when I last had it.

Very full bodied. Fruit forward, rich color and not small, a nice cab for the price. decanted for 40 minutes and it was ready.

Surprisingly heavy handed for a Cabernet. Higher alcohol perhaps? Did not mellow after two days.
