Just coming into its drinking window - probably at its best in another 3-5 years. Intense blackcurrant and some leaf mould. Not as exciting as the 2010 but that was a really great vintage.

3 Bordeaux Diploma Tasting: Medium ruby appearance. Medium + intensity on the nose. Aromas of blackcurrant, black plum, leather, mushroom, cedar, vanilla. Dry palate of medium + intensity. High, soft, velvety tannin. Medium alcohol. Full bodied, medium + intensity palate, medium + finish. Very good quality. This is really classic Bordeaux in a good vintage and another excellent value.

Dark blue/red color. Fruit forward on nose and palate. No signs of ageing, but drinking very nicely. You would have to wait for tertiary notes, but already a smooth wine with good QPR. Nice, not great

Decanted for 1 h. Beautiful Poujeaux, great balance of acidity, fruit and barrique, this still very present, tannins well integrated, typical Medoc, medium-long finish (for this price but superb!). Who likes fruit and barrique - drink now! Very great price-performance.

Tasting yet another vintage of my likable Moulis producer, blend was composed from 50% CS, 42% Merlot, 6% PV and 2% CF. Medium+ ruby colour. Medium intensity fragrant aroma of violets, roses, cassis, blackberries, dry leaves, leather, vanilla hints. Medium body, fleshy and slightly tight with fresh and racy acidity, earthy and leathery black fruit flavours, fine grained tannins, medium length finish.

Second bottle. Lovely balance between primary red fruit and secondary notes. Pencil case, graphite and cedar. Tannins resolved after a 2 hour decant. Drinking beautifully.

After a short decant this wine really started shining. Beautiful red primary fruit, great balance and refined tannins. Drinks superbly now especially if one wants some of the primary fruit. About 3 years to maturity?

Decanted for an hour. Nice touch of crunchy black fruit. Tannins fully integrated. Vanilla, oak, graphite and pencil shavings. Really very nice and just at the beginning of its window. Much to look forward too.

Lovely nose of cassis, dark cherry, cedar, pencil shavings. Super balance of sweet fruit and mouth watering medium acidity. Medium tannin, medium bodied, medium tannin. I reckon this will be singing at 10 years of age.

Nose is a bit closed for the first hour. Not much things going on. I recommend decanting it for an hour. When it is opened up, you get this wonderful bouquet of sweet earthy spices, blackcurrant and black berries, toasted oregano and some hints of tobacco in the base note. Compared to a very good vintage like the 2010, this nose lacks density and depth of aroma. However, the palate is nicely balanced and dense with ripe tannins to stretch the mid-palate and finish, which is rich and long. Presently, there are still a lot hidden behind the structure. Let this wine age for another 3-5 years for all the elements to come together. It should continue to offer good drinking window for at least 5 years.

Bought as a sample among several from a French supermearket during a wine fair ( and discount) Light with good grip without being too sharp. Some silkiness and mid flavour and a good clean finish. Almost like a wine that's good but a bit watered down. Enjoyable.

This is slightly lighter-bodied than what I would prefer it to be. Other that that, you have a solid mix of red and dark berries, herbs, nice acid backbone, soft tannins, decent finish. Excellent QPR.

Enjoyed over two days. Fruit and oak on the first day, and showing very good sense of place, though otherwise clumsy and reticent. The wine opened throughout the second evening, revealing an elegance uncommon to this estate. Highly appealing, likely to improve, and probably best to hold. 91-92.

Bordeaux Showroom (Lavinia - Madrid): Powerful but surprisingly smart. Marzipan cupcake on the nose but the amazing thing is almost sweet on the mouth. Being fully accessible at this time means a change of guard in this winery.

Fresh, sharp, crisp, bright, red fruits, espresso, smoke and thyme open this medium bodied, earthy wine. The tannins are soft, and their is enough there to allow the wine to age and evolve. Give it at least 3-5 years before popping a cork.
