Dark red. Graphite, smoke, and minerals on the nose. Red licorice, candy apples, moderate complexity and a fairly simple finish. I clearly liked it better in its youth

In Vino Veritas (in wine there is truth; people speak the truth when they are drunk), bottle #106 of my cellar sacrifices. A 2013 Chimères from Saint Roch in the Côtes du Roussillon Villages area is made from vines of Grenache, Syrah, Carignan and Mouvedre. This wine captures the dark fruit flavors and spicy minerality typical of that area - a very inexpensive wine to guzzle! 😀🍷🍷👍👍 #wine #winelover #winelovers #redblend #redblendwine #saintroch #chimeres #grenache

FWS Languedoc Roussillon Class 2020; 7/14/2020-7/15/2020: Good fruit driven red. Red and Black fruit with some nice garrigue aromas as well. Not as much depth as I would have liked, but a nice wine. The Grenache really stood out in this wine, not a bad thing, just a lot of fruit.

Purplish-red in color. Crushed dark berries and plums, graphite, pepper and underbrush on the nose. Medium bodied palate shows crushed dark fruits with a savory brown sauce, medium acidity, touch of drying tannins, medium wood and a spicy, peppery finish.

Dark color, dark fruits. Nose perks up after an hour, with dark berries, pepper and spices. Full body with fine tannins and medium length finish. Very pleasant bottle of wine with tremendous QPR.

This needs to warm up, not a cold drinker. Subtle, good acid, dark fruit, definitely NOT overbearing. A pleasant bottle at a pleasant price. Very nice!

Earthy, spicey with some tar and white pepper. Dark fruit with a violet nose. Disjointed at first but much better after an hour. 15$ in Knoxville and a good buy.

An Eric Solomon selection and one that I agree with and enjoyed. Very affordable and excellent QPR at this price point. Drinking very nicely now. Medium in presentation and enjoyable finish. Admirably held up well over several nights and improved over time.

Didn't provide proper time as on night one it was tight but did open on day two. Light, floral with a sh.ort finish. Looking forward to to future bottles and spacing of time.

Young, juice-like, and exciting with a quenching waterfall of pure, savory fruit decorated seamlessly with supporting secondary nuances. Improved over an hour in the glass; will likely improve for a couple more years and then hold for a bit. I'm not going to hesitate to drink these nubiles now, but a year could do it good. (Now or) 2017-2019.

Serious Roussillon wine (Vi de la terra Catalana), that has evolved beautifully over the past 12 months. A blend of 60 % Grenache, 30 % Syrah (young vines) and 10 % Carignan, sourced from the schist and granite soils of the Maury area (Vall de l’Agly), about 20 km northwesterly of Perpignan (Perpinya/Catalunya nord). Dark purple-red in the glass and a lovely nose revealing fragrances of plum and gooseberry fruit, licorice, thyme and black pepper. The medium to full-bodied palate is dominated by ripe berry and bramble fruit, supported by a well-balanced structure and quite elegant tannins. Long spicy aftertaste. Good potential, but already very approachable and enjoyable now. Let the wine breathe at least one hour before serving. To enjoy now and over the coming 3-4 years. Good QPR.
Prima prijskwaliteitverhouding.

Initially a bit dull, this wine is impressive after 30-45 minutes of air. Nose is strawberry/raspberry with a bit of spice. Taste is tart cherry, anise, and pepper. Mouthfeel is soft, almost velvety with little noticeable alcohol and clean acidity. Long finish with note of licorice. Incredible QPR at $14

Ruby core receding to a garnet rim, this is a fairly red fruit forward wine. Tannins are well integrated. Alcohol dominates a tad too much and masks some of the aromas.

Bright ruby red. Spicy candy apple, vanilla, cherry coke, fresh fruit, a hint of pepper and enough acid to make it crisp and clean. Finish lasts for three to four minutes. Terrific QPR. Does have a fairly short composite cork, so would drink over the next few years. Very nice wine!
