I thought this was much more decent than some of the writers on this page. What I liked in particular that the wine feels fresh for a Californian CabSav. Next to dark fruits and toast there is good structure and drinkability.

Retailer tasting. The wine was medium ruby in colour and offered red and dark fruit, black currant, cherry, plum, vanilla and some spice on the nose. On the palate the wine was dark fruit-driven and offered black currant, blackberry, plum, chocolate and a hint of liquorice, with medium-level acidity, medium-plus tannin and very good length. The tannin was a little furry and astringent and the wine tasted a little bitter towards the end. Not a fan.

Lots of vanilla that masks other flavors, but opened up a bit over the course of the night to reveal plums and black cherry. A pretty good cab for the money.

There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like cherry and chocolate. It tastes like raisin. The body is full. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity. Licorice

Surprisingly good very inexpensive daily drinker CA north coast cabernet - very good QPR. Popped & poured at a restaurant last night - initially so musky and almost sour that I was wondering if the bottle was off but with swirling and air in the glass it opened up nicely and each of the following glasses was better then the previous one so this wine really benefits from at least 30-60 minutes in the decanter. Medium bodied, reasonably well balanced, not very tannic so definitely not built as a long haul wine and a reasonably long aftertaste. Once the funk and musk had cleared nose was simple but pleasant with dark fruit and red cherry. The flavor profile was very typical CA cabernet - fruit forward, some but not overwhelming oak and then some hints of blackberry and cassis. Definitely recommend this with the understanding that it is an inexpensive entry level daily drinker wine but somewhat over-delivers on that.

Medium to low acidity, sweetness with lots of red and hints of dark berries, medium-bodied, paired with bbq, can't complain. Good bbq wine if you had to select, no pun intended.

A serviceable, if not inspired, crowd pleasing style of California Cabernet. More red fruit than dark. Easy to discern some Lake County red dirt influence. Some cedar and menthol on both the nose and palate. Medium bodied. A hint of vanilla from moderate use of oak. Some spice with red currants and minerals on the finish.

Pretty good, but totally forgettable. Slight RS sweetness, crowd pleaser style. Little oak or tannin. OK at sale price of 14. Should be 10.

Mid dark garnet; light Cabernet nose; herbaceous; mid-body; decent tannins; good fruit; a little hot on the finish.

Pop and pour. Sweet red fruit centric. Little funky at the end. Serviceable.

Great QPR. Opens up quickly to a slightly tannic, red berry, medium mouthfeel, holds well in the glass with noticeable Cabernet characteristics.
