Last of 4 bottles bought on release and stored in 56 degree cellar. 60% Nero d'Avola and 40% Frappato. Drank over 4 nights with Coravin on night 1. Perfumed red and black fruits, with a bit of a baked pie character. Some savory notes add complexity. Tart and grippy with good mouthfeel and a long finish that calls you back. Hits the sweet spot for me with the fruit/acid balance. Still has years to go, I would think.

No notes taken as was brought to a dinner party, but this wine was drinking even better than I remember from previous tasting. Luscious red/black fruit and herbal components, backed with ample acidity. A delight!

A fine example of how red wines from Sicily can be superbly good, and how COS makes outstanding wines. Tasted over a 4 day period, recorking the wine back in the refrigerator. Started with light see through ruby that included a brown tone. But got better every day. Much darker, elegant, smoother, fruitier, and better textured. Wonderfully delicious and enjoyable without being big or overpowering. With food, the best wine of 7 on the table, that we kept coming back to.

This will be an odd review, but bear with me. This is not a wine to be drank alone, but pair it and it sings. Given how perfectly it pairs with a bolognese or napoletana pizza I’m giving it a high rating. Drinking without food especially tomatoes and olive oil based foods would be a mistake.
Dark ruby color with moderate clearing Medium cherry/ sweet cherry aromas with floral/mineral background Medium palate of sweet red fruit and balsamic Nice finish with medium tannins and medium(+) acidity Did not improve much in fact declined in a day in bottle Recommend drinking now

4th of July in NH with friends & wine; 7/4/2018-7/6/2018 (New London, NH): Last wine of the day in a long day of drinking and I think this suffered from its place in the line up. After a day of drinking whites and light reds, this just felt heavy and clunky to me. Lots of dark fruit and tannin - seems to need much more time to come together, but I don't think this one will ever be elegant. Kind of a disappointment.

Nice transparency. Deep aromas. Quite noticeably different flavor profile, from the grape variety I'm supposing. Good balance. Continuous change in the glass. Refreshing.

Really good. Not a straight forward wine, but certainly stood up over the 3 hours as the wine of the night. Complex, bright, dark, and deliciously different Drink or hold.

Popped and poured
Dark fruit (black cherry, cassis), earth, sweet tobacco?, floral, good acidity. A bit sweet on the finish. Enjoyable.
