Purple to ruby at the rim. Open two hours Black fruits to some tannins still remaining. Still some Brett but fruit showing through ends in a 20 second finish
Still needs more time. Try again in 1 to 2 years

Dark, deep purple. Minimal nose. Very structured. Minimal fruit. Nice cedar notes and integrated, dusty tannins with a long finish. But out of balance because the fruit was completely dead.

Enjoyed this. Tasted over two nights against the Januik Cab. Januik had a purity of fruit and a bit of a stronger core. Ethos had some sweet floral notes on top of fruit with power - and oak that was present but not dominated. Tannins that many folks mentioned were present, I had them at Med+, but certainly didn't get in the way, although there was a bit of alcohol still on the finish. I would say both of these were quite delicious and I would give 91/92. Both are ready to drink now - don't really see how they will improve much more.

Nice Merlot dominated blend. Red and blue berries on the nose. Nice cigar and earth aromas. Rich, concentrated dark cherry, cassis and blackberry flavors. Tannins still have some bite and could smooth out further.

Cedar notes with crushed herbs and violets. Very well balanced with blueberry and plum on the palate forward and graphite and earth on the back. Long finish with an excellent aftertaste. Perfect drinking time for this.

Ripe red and blue berries on the nose. Also some faint cigar and earth aromas. Lots of fruit and some oak and spice. Full bodied with a desire to be velvety, but too many tannins to get there at this point. It’s aspirational—give it a few years.

Very St. Emilion-like flavors and textures, which of course, is what it is suppose to be. Rich, concentrated flavors and texture with dark cherry, cassis and blackberry. Merlot texture and lushness with cab flavors. 91-92 My only rcomplaint is that it needs more tension and structure to frame all the fruit.

Dark ruby, opaque, full bodied, rich fruit, soft tannins. I let it breathe for two hours which eliminated any oak flavors and allowed the wine to open up.

This is undoubtly a decently crafted wine... but one that is in a style that I appreciate less over time. The wine poured a deep and dark purple hue to the stem. Rich bouquet of jammy black fruit, violets, and dark cherry.
The wine somewhat overwhelms the palate with candied black fruit, red cherry, oak influence, and a hint of unpleasant sucrosity. The wine lacks acidity, formal structure, and terroir expression. Not a bad wine per se.... but certainly no distinction from other CA/WA Cabernets in this $40-$50 price range.
Maybe some of this up front baby fat will recede with time... But probably not worth waiting it out.

Dark, juicy fruits with rich ripe flavors of cherry, cassis and blackberry with a medium-to-full-bodied, elegant, Sonoma-like texture. Smooth and round with a velvety mouthfeel and enough acidity to make it food friendly. Not really any noticeable oak or earth. Reminds me of a good Sonoma cabernet, but with more depth and richness. Past few bottles have been very consistent. 91-92

Really enjoyable, and slightly better than prior bottles. Same rich, ripe, lush, juicy flavors and velvety textures of red berry and cassis with great depth and concentration. Nicely balanced with good acidity, an enjoyably firm framework of grainy, drying tannins and a long, fruity finish.

Same as a bottle a month ago. Lush, juicy, ripe cherry, red berry and cassis fruits, but slightly monolithic. Medium to full body and concentrated with a velvety texture and no sharp edges. Not much structure, but just enough acidity to balance all the fruit. Don't really see any reason to wait longer to drink.

Amazingly rich, ripe fruits - mostly cassis and boysenberry, with great depth, a lush, layered, velvety texture, and a medium-to-full body. Totally seamless, great balance and with a tremendous richness without being syrupy. Too rich and full flavored to be elegant, but certainly very polished.

So, 5 years since last bottle
So approachable, dusty tannins, soft dark acidity, classic CSM approach.
4 hours open, 90 minute decant, improving steadily from first glass
