N: Muted and rather nondescript. P: Hay, bitter oak, dried pineapple and faint spice. F:Short and bitter with minimal fruit. This is an unusual miss from this winery, who's wines I usually enjoy. 86-87

Taste of apples. A hint sweetness and a hint of oak that faded. This is smooth and delicious. At the BerserkerDay price of $10, this was a steal. I'd say the same even if I paid twice that amount.

Nice wine. There's a yellow apple aroma, slightly ripe. Palate is golden delicious apple on the attack followed immediately by a strong lime rind and tingly acid finish. Quite enjoyable.

I delicate and clean Cali Chardonnay that is nice but does not stand out from the crowd. All the components are in place but for it didn't thrill me. It's still good but not special.

Lightly straw colored. 13.6% ABV. Pretty nose of peaches, lemon and honey. Medium body with zingy acidity. Rich and delicious. Lemon zest, green apple and vanilla on the palate. Delightful wine that is clearly the cream of the Chardonnay crop at Navarro. Drink over the next 2-3 years.

Believe it or not, I think this wine still needs some time to shine. Bright but restrainedapple/lemon/yellow plum fruit and acidity, nutmeg, and some softness. Great balance, and the oak is totally integrated. A definite step up from their other (delicious) Chardonnays. Really my kind of Chardonnay.

A bit buttery for my taste, but does have a zippy acidity that makes it more food friendly. I personally like the leaner simpler Chardonnay offering from Navarro.

A bit more depth and breadth than the regular Mendocino bottling. Shows some roundness due to the oak, but does not come across as oaky, in fact it is quite racy. Easy drinking, with a nice citrus pith note on the finish. This was emptied rather quickly.

Mediocre. Seemed unbalanced, a bit too much oak, clumsy and a tad sweet.

Clear, straw. Butterscotch, lightly buttered toast, apricot. Low acids, medium to low tannins. Lemon curd. Medium to long balanced finish.

A decent California chard with just a little too much oak for me.

Golden, rather rich. Pretty well balanced but still we'd appreciate more acid backbone.

Very pleasant chardonnay. Good balance between fruit and tannins. A fine accompaniment to the cold sauced chicken and salads on a hot evening.

Lots of tropical fruit and a fair amount of oak (more than I like) but well integrated. For a mid priced California chard this is excellent.

This might be better with more age. Apple and tropical fruits. Had with cheese.
