Wonderfully elegant, black pepper, satiny texture, power without weight, tannins mostly resolved. Nose of violets, black pepper, baking spices. 13.5% ABV. Like a top quality Crozes-Hermitage, very impressive. Probably at a peak at the moment, don’t think it is made for long term cellaring, but delivers a lot of pleasure and beauty now.

Very Northern-Rhone in style, with a pronounced black pepper and olive tapenade on the nose and palate. Upfront fruit on the palate probably distinguishes it from the North Rhone. Good balance and length, I think my experience probably being more enjoyable than my fellow C/T members below.

Low to medium tannin. Dark fruit jammy-ness but not overwhelming. Balance is good but no real length in the mouth. Fruit intensity is waning and suggests wine is for drinking now or even yesterday.

Leveling the Lands - Blind: White pepper, floral lift, earth and spice. The palate is short unfortunately, it doesn't carry the flavours well and it feels like it lacks presence.

Medium bodied but no more than that. Pepper cloves and almost roses. Very light for new world Syrah. Drinking beautifully.

Light for a Syrah. Peppery, medium weight. Short finish. Mixed feelings

Lashings of white pepper and green undergrowth. Similar to northern Rhine styles. But more intense.

Too young and felt a bit out of balance. Have hopes time will improve it though.
