Obviously past the fresh spice stage, but interestingly appearing more reminiscent of a CdP than Barossa….secondary and tertiary flavours, restrained tannins, better with pork than with cheese

Pop and pour, consumed over 4 hours. For $14.83 that I paid, this is delightful. It was slightly hot initially, but it mellowed out. It was interesting that for about 20 minutes in the middle of drinking this, I detected so much earth and minerality that it reminded me of a Northern Rhone. BUT only those 20 minutes, the rest of the time it was a restrained if obvious Aussie.

Pop and pour, textbook eucalyptus on this wine. Very slightly cooling, herbal, almost aloe vera in characteristic. The wine was tasty but slightly one-dimensional. The eucalyptus seemed to push out the other flavors that I could tell were present.

Day 1: Very mellow compared to other bottles. Nice with floral, raspberries, strawberries and spices. On the finish picks up some flint and Garrique. This is an outstanding value for under $16 which I purchased back in January. Might be QPR of the year. 91 points Day 2: Not as good. Bit port like and unbalanced. This tells me consume this on day 1. Huge decline on this bottle 83 points. Day 3: Better than day 2. More pepper, floral and fruit. Why you never give up on a wine. 88 points Recommendation: These wines should be consumed in a year or less. Very good find for me.

Nice perfumed nose of floral, dust and underbrush. Palate offers nice red currants and smooth finish. Have not had a bad bottle of this a serious candidate for QPR of the year.

Day 1: Wonderful with Garrique, spice, minerals, raspberries and mint. Outstanding effort. One of the greatest value wines I have ever tasted. Those who don't like Aussie wines try this!!!

Pop and pour, consumed over 4 hours. Consistent with previous note. This is an interesting mix of new world and old world characteristics. Some funk, slightly herbal and vegetal, while also having new world ripe fruit. A nice wine for sure, but not amazing.

3 Day Wine Reviews that Rock!; 2/12/2018-4/15/2018: Day 4 Review: Singing and even better than day 3. Garrique, spices, dust and red currants. The flavors on the finish are mesmerizing. This is without a doubt the best $14 wine I have ever purchased. This wine has a long life ahead and could be the best Grenache based wine I have tasted from Australia. Outstanding!

Cheers John for buying the same wine as me on clearance. :)
Pop and pour. There is a supple intoxicating new world Aussie nose. The palate is less interesting, but not bad. Maybe I didn't give it enough attention, but I didn't see much of interest on the palate. I'll try to pay attention more to the next 5 bottles.

Day 1: Opened for about 3 hours. Nice Garrique, red currants, subtle spices and pine tar. This drinks more like a CDP than any other Aussie Grenache Blend I have ever tasted. An absolutely stunning value (won't tell you what I paid for it). An early candidate for QPR of the year and will be hard to beat. Will be interested to see what this does on day 2 and 3. Day 2: Still singing with similarities to day 1. Very intense wine with tons of flavors complexity. Long finish. A true find. Under the radar as I did not like the 2012 Bogan and gave it sub 80 points. Wow!!! 93 points

It is sad that this is my last bottle. This was consistent with previous experiences, and a great buy at $15.
