Similar to previous btl, healthy decant/filtering needed, hits with a bit more saline and toast on the attack then peppery on the finish, very savory and dark cherry-plum fruited, but pretty chewy and delicious nonetheless. Solid Alex at a fraction of others, well done indeed, definite value re-buy.

Black cherry, Casis aromas, full bodied with flavors of black berries, cherry, vanilla, and oak. With a long pleasant finish. Drinking very nicely right now. Paired very well with ribeye steak. I wish I bought more.

Ready to go with varietal correctness, currant berry and dark cherry plus touches of mocha and spice on a smooth if relatively short finish. Solid effort for the category and nice QPR.

Dark purple solid rim. Black cherry and cassis with a little spice. Very smooth with great acid acid smooth fine tannins. Developing more complex notes of tobacco and chocolate. PnP and it’s very good.

A workhorse of a wine, this is driven by a dark fruit profile of currants, black and blue fruit, mocha, and cedar. Rich, full bodied, and fruity, it picks up tannic youth on the grippy finish.

Un délicieux cabernet-sauvignon de la Californie, pas trop sucré, pas trop cher! On aime ça!
Subtle red bell pepper and violet aromas lead to black currant and prune flavors. Very good acidity/fruit balance, full-bodied and a medium length finish.

Blind California Reds: Medium purple color. Juicy currants plums and cherries on the nose, along with loam, rose petals, mint and coffee. Generous on the palate, but shows some vibrancy, with smooth tannins and medium acidity. Cedar, vanilla and cola mix well with the black cherry ice cream and juicy currant fruit. Fun, tasty stuff but shows a good amount of depth for a wine in this price point. Includes 8% Petite Sirah and 1% Merlot aged in 1/3 new oak (mostly American with about 25% French oak) for 16 months.

Very good, but not spectacular. Drinkable but nothing really stood out to me.

Marginal. Typical of high production Napa wine.

Does not compare with the highly rated 2012 Vintage. I guess 12' was a lucky vintage for the winemaker.

This bottle puches well above its weight class with rich black fruit. Great QPR, will be buying more.
