Tasted blind. Pale straw, medium tearing. Low intensity, yellow apple/pear, lees. Dry, medium body, med acid, med alcohol, bitter finish. Acid on the low side, low complexity, short finish. Rather non-descript wine - would not buy again.

Interesting wine which is different than your NW SB. There is the tropical fruit flavors but they are balanced (some may say masked) by the oaky notes. Not my preference but still drinkable.

A little too dry and oakey. Decent with chicken but not good for sipping before th3 meal. I wouldn’t buy again EVEN THOUGH WE SAW 3 bull moose while moose hunting before the meal.

Tropical fruit on the nose, ripe yet undertoned by a greenness suggestive of Sauvignon blanc. An appealing texture and weight is bullied by oak-derived spice that is starting to integrate given the age but still outshines any varietal flavors. There's enough acidity here to bring this together.

Sonoma/Napa with my beautiful wife!; 5/10/2017-5/13/2017 (Northern California): Fun to taste this next to the "Harvest of Joy" This has a touch higher acidity and much more tropical fruit. A lot of tropical fruit in fact, pineapple, guava, citrus all over the place. Obvious signs of oak are a bit distracting also. No noticeable green notes on this wine also

Showing two different sides, this is a unique and individualistic wine. It has varietal notes of guava, white peach, lime blossom, and melon to go along with a candied edge and lip smacking acidity. But displays the weight and oak vanillin finish you'd find in a Chardonnay. This is a hybrid but it works out.

Interesting refreshing white. Like a chard-SB mashup. Got as a gift, well past its prime so I'll keep this short...nobody's probably reading anyway. I did enjoy though.

PLCB Chairman's Tasting Fall 2015 (KoP): Big fruit and floral perfume on the nose, melon, passion fruit, etc. That part is actually nice, but the oak for me is way overdone, both the vanilla flavor as well as the harsh tannic edge on the finish. The back end is a mess.

Medium gold color. Rich nose of white peaches, papaya, pears, green apple, slight notes of tea, toasted bread and honeycomb. Full-bodied stuff with juicy, ripe fruit (yellow apples, papaya, peaches) but surprisingly bright and persistent acid. Complex notes of honey, white tea, vanilla and ginger are mixed in well to the overall package. Rich and bold approach for sure, but still bright with lots of energy and different elements to enjoy. From To Kalon Vineyard, includes 11% Semillon, this is fermented in 12% new French oak and aged sur lie for nine months.

I really enjoyed this. I typically can enjoy a glass or 2 of SB but I had no problem finishing off most of this bottle. However, it is over 14% abv.
Tropical and citrus aromas with oak; similar flavors with a creamy texture and nice length on the finish.
I see how some say the oak masks the SB flavor profile but I think though possibly transformative, it's complimentary.

Dry, medium acidity, fairly fruity/citrusy, in a refreshing way. A good hint of oak and tad bit of stone fruit, just a tad. Long finish.

Decanted 1/2 hr. Nice fruity nose. Refreshing, bright, well blended tastes of tropical fruits & citrus.

Eye: Medium lemon color.
Nose: medium plus intensity. Developing wine. Wet stone, toast from Sur lie, peach, pine apple.
Palate : Dry. Medium plus acidity. Body medium. Round on the palate. Probably due to MLF. Intensity medium plus. Length : medium
Very good wine. Balanced and complex enough also have good enough intensity. But lacks length compared to other qualities.
Ready to drink. May benefit from further cellaring.

Drinkable but too many oak flavors. Confusing, almost like a very dry chard. Interesting concept but the crossover to s.b. just wasn't there.
