Deep golden color. Nose shows oxidation with intense baked apple and caramel aromas. Similar oxidation on the palate but still enjoyable. Medium body, medium acidity that brings balance to the baked apple, figs and caramel flavours.soft and silky long aftertaste. Very nice wine despite the clear oxidation. These bottles have been hit and miss, some more or less oxidized.

My last bottle of this vintage, and it has changed a lot since my previous bottle (almost 3 years ago). It had less tropical fruit and more petrol aromas. Still just as enjoyable, but different. It was an excellent follow up to a 1997 Champagne.

Straw color and straw nose, very unusual. Full bodied and very intense fruit with stone fruit notes and oak and vanilla showing. Going to see why it shows tomorrow.

This was a bit of a mixed bag for me. Really nice acidity and minerality, but the fruit seemed muted somewhat. Tried the next day at a slightly higher temp and same experience. Have two more so curious if it will all come together.

Notes of meyer lemon and hazelnut. Waxy notes and white flowers. Butterscotch with a hint of quinine. Palate has excellent focus with a hint of struck match and smoky minerals. Finish is punctuated with a touch of quinine.

My all time favorite Kistler bottling. This is one for those who might think Kistler over-does the oak and butter: while the big fruit flavors of mango and pineapple are there, there is a pronounced minerality and vibrant acidity present in this wine that is quite delightful and mouth watering. This bottle was gone quickly, I wish they had bottled this in large format, as it is amazing. This one has it all. Drink or hold. Bravo!

Love this Chard! 2013 vintages is drinking great. Love the structure and varying flavors such as green apple, lemon-lime and minerals...and, just wait for the finish!

wow, what a difference relative to the test bottle of 2013 Durrell we had the other night (really not good at all... could it have been flawed?), this wine had great acid and tension, citrus profile with a nice streak of sweetness for balance, some nice mineral character (hard to find and not sure where it comes from in a bottle of cali chard) and really a pleasure to drink... very very good Kistler this one, wish i could swap my five durrell bottles for more of this stuff

A golden color with hints of brown. The wine was pleasant but was on the downside of its peak drinking period. Disappointing.

Still drinking very well. Beautiful fruit, mango, lemon, vanilla and almonds. Delicate acidity & minerality. Delicious.

Not a lot of oak, tropical flavors, it went well with Oysters. A big hit with my wine group, even with the "I don't like Chardonnay" crowd.

Outstanding. So balanced from nose through finish, maintains its structure without sacrificing fruit.

This was a big hit with my wine group. Medium acidity, not a lot of oak. The tropical flavors come through on both the nose and palate.
