P&P as part of a 2013 horizontal of the single vineyard blends (Apogee, Perigee, Ferguson). My least favorite of the 3, but still a great wine. Flavors of currant, cherry and earth, a bit of oak and coffee on the finish. Drink now - 2028.

Had my last bottle of this 5 years ago and gave it a 94. Well not this time. Something has made the taste a lot different. Seems a little "old." Nothing fruity about it like 5 years ago. Sediment present now. I will pass the lower rating off to this single bottle. I am bummed.

Having just a glass of a newly opened bottle at the Heritage tasting room. Outdoor with a breeze so hard to nose. Medium to full body, still has some significant tannins. Decent finish. Begs for a steak. Probably has a few years to peak and will probably last another 7-10 years.

Dark fruit, cassis, candied cherry, misc red fruits, herbal/licorice notes, cocoa, coffee. Palate had plum, cherry, coffee, light minerality, graphite, dusty tannins.
This seemed to be a bit more earthy/mineral driven than some commenters were probably expecting? I wouldn't call it past peak necessarily. I think there is room for more evolution, but it has a lighter intensity body for sure.

From the reviews, perhaps best upon release. This was a weird and disappointing wine, given my label affinity. Could coax no fruit out of it after a few days. Perhaps why I got it in the $30's off auction.

Cellared four years, drank over two days, nice aromas of cassis, leather, five spice, surprisingly light and dilluted, medium bodied, watery, past peak.

Washington State (Excelsior, MN): Big style with dark currants, oak, vanilla, minerals and spices. Concentrated and powerful. Medium to long finish. Decanted for 2 hours. Solid wine and needs time. 91-94. Recommendation: Drink after 2021.

Black currants, black cherry, quite lean and structured with good acidity, some grip but great texture and fruit intensity. Black pepper, white chocolate. After a few hours in adecanter it’s simply delish. Will be even better in five years time.

Ruby colored. Full bodied. Candied apples, cotton candy. Lot's of sweet sugary notes. Soft, and subtle, nice balanced. Opened nicely hour two. Dry, nice tannin, medium plus finish. Some wet leather hints, overshadowed by lots of red fruit. Subtle earthy characteristics. Wet wool. WOW! What an amazing wine for the price. Great wine tasting room in Walla Walla that one needs to visit. Constantly putting out excellent wines at a very fair price. Bravo!

Reserve Wine Bar at Grand Sierra Resort, Reno: Aromas of cedar, tobacco, graphite, black currant. Dark fruits on the palate, with depth of cedar, spices, leather and tobacco. Full bodied, with serious depth and structure, and very nice balancing elegance. Broad, smooth, fleshy tannins. Big finish. Excellent.

These single vineyard Meritage blends from l'Ecole are really seducing me! This has basically all the qualities of the 2013 Ferguson, notes are more or less identical; huge hit of ripe fruits, blackcurrants, blackberries, juicy black cherries, smoky oak, toast, malolactic hints and refreshing lift to make it highly drinkable and next sip desirable, not cloying or tiring. Full bodied, intense and a long aftertaste. It has perhaps ever so slightly less energy/tension and thus not exactly at the level of Ferguson imho, but definitely an extremely good Bx-blend! Highly recommended!

Dark DRY fruit. Bone dry. Serious structure.needs an hour+ decant. Nice mineralality. Layers and layers of dark fruit. Long finish. Tannins way in the background. If Larkmead moved to Washington and used old French oak. Lmv Salon II, but 1/3 the price

On the nose, I found dusty spice, black cherry, blueberry, sweet tea and chalky minerals. On the palate, velvety textures gave way to saturating black fruits with fine tannin, which saturated the senses. It finished long, like a black hole of fruit.

Needs cellaring for many years I believe. Or a serious steak. Recommended. And at almost half the price of comparable Napa valley blends - and just as big.

Cocoa and strawberry on the nose. Very young still. Needs to decant. Opened and decanted 30 min which was too short. Soft. Needs time. Open in 2021.

Great muscular cab blend that gets better second day if you can avoid laying off it the first. Especially good value at price point.
