1 hour decant, 60 F. Light ruby color, just starting to edge to a paler garnet color. Strawberry and kiwi on the nose. No noticeable heat, light body. Raspberry, tart cranberry and a hint of cherry fruit on the palate, slight notes of rhubarb and clove. Light lingering finish. Much more Burgundian than a typical RRV pinot, a lovely wine.

Eerily similar to my previous bottle of almost four years ago. Lots of cherry and sousbois. This is still drinking well and has at least a year or two left in it. 93+

Wow….I really love wesmar….pop and pour ….great balance of strawberries and kiwi…a bit of tar and spice. Cranberry color and lighter mouth feel…but complex and integrated . This is the opposite of CA Pinot like belle glos….

Medium garnet in color, this wine reveals focused dark red fruits of black cherry and blackberry on the nose. The mouth feel is medium bodied with added elements of smoke, anise and vanilla as well as Asian spices and forest floor undertones. The finish has very lively acidity, is beautifully balanced and lingers for 15+ seconds. 14.1% abv.
Purchased for $41US, this is a simply gorgeous offering that was delightful with my baked salmon entree tonight. There are layers and layers of complexity with this.

Pop and pour, consumed over 4 hours. Nose: Medium-plus expressiveness, black cherry, cherry, cola, and forest floor. Palate: Medium bodied, spicy red fruit attack, good balance and mid-palate persistence, earthiness and minerals join the bright fruit in the back-end and persist thru a 30-45 second finish.

Last of this vineyard of 3 I originally purchased. The acid is so perfectly balanced on this wine that it will pair with just about anything I am capable of preparing (Stroganoff with pork shoulder tonight) WesMar never disappoints.

Opened, but not decanted for about 45 minutes prior to dinner. Very light garnet color with clear hue throughout. Feminine nose of cherry and forest. Medium weight with lovely balance. In a great place right now. 93+

Celebrating Judi's Birthday (Sun Wah): Popped and poured towards the end of the evening. Light and elegant, as one expects from this vineyard. Cherry and perfume with a subtle rhubarb undertone. Hints of orange blossom and clove. Another pretty Oehlman. 92+ pts.

90 after 1 hour decant, 92 the following evening. Absolutely delicious and reminiscent of the older Williams-Selyems (before they started making a bazillion cases per year). Full-bodied with ample fruit and exquisitely balanced. Medium finish that’s all red fruit

Lovely medium weight wine with cherry and raspberry flavors. A freshness and bouquet that are inviting. Much improved from my last bottle a few months ago.

Inviting aromatics with red berries and beautiful weight and mouthfeel. Elegant and understated. Well integrated and great balance. Nice acidity lovely across the palate and great finish. Cherry notes with a little tartness initially.

Probably drank this a bit young but still a beautiful and elegant Pinot Noir. Lovely aromatics and pure red berries and perfect weight and body. A bit of dusty rose petal as well. Purity of fruit that is nicely integrated already but with plenty of life ahead.

Strawberry red color. The lovely, understated nose begins with red cherry and rose petals., but with air, earthy horseradish elements emerge. Cherry and cranberry fruits are on tap initially with earthy notes and spice filling out the palate. This wine is light-bodied with high acidity and a silky mouthfeel. Overall, this light-bodied, red-fruited wine is a study in subtlety, and I believe the acidity will help it to age gracefully for 8-10 more years.

Drinking very well now. Not overly sweet and a more feminine backbone. The most French of the WesMar lineup. Can still go for awhile. Drink or hold.
