80 on a drinkability/enjoyable scale. I liked it after the pop with rare beef and mashed taters. Improved nicely during the meal and finished well. I like to get a case of these and drink over 5 yrs maybe. When you feel it slippin away, put it down quickly. But could end up with a nice surprise.

Deep red, clear. Herbal nose. Full body, intense flavor, smooth texture, soft tannins but well structured, extra hot mouthfeel, long aftertaste. Sweet but balanced by acidity, tannins and alcohol. Jammy, dense, delicious red fruit flavors, plums. Despite being so big it went well with turkey, at least the dark meat. Amazing value, had I known I’d have bought a case.

Purple in color, with pink and orange hues along the edge. High alcohol (13.5%) with moderate- viscosity. Medium+ tannins. Paired very well with parmesan cheese, bread, peperoni, and oregano balsamic/olive oil dip. Moderate length of flavor. Later finished drinking with corned beef (not as good pairing) and braised cabbage (awful pairing). 2 bottles purchases. Second bottle needs some time to clear out soften out tannins. The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Medium garnet color, red hues towards the meniscus. Scents of very ripe red fruits (strawberry, raspberry) and heavy cassis. Aeration allows some vanilla and coconut scents to come through. Palate is very heavy on the fruit, almost juice-like. Waited 30 minutes and more oak flavors and vanilla came through. Lacks mid-palate flavors and depth. Length is moderate, but entirely fruit with almost no other flavors. 11.5/20

13.5% alcohol, pretty cheap foil, artificial cork, long legs; woody nose & taste -- plums, apple butter, butterscotch, apples, fruit forward, not complex, simple texture

Generally more authentic and complete than previous tastes of this brand and variety. Pretty mild on the palate, but relatively full of flavor. More red fruit than dark. Plenty of medium heavy toast oak with cherry and raspberry on the nose. The entry is a bit grainy with what tastes like press wine tannins. Graphite, tar, crushed walnut shells. Surprisingly intense and concentrated from lips through finish.

This $10 wine is aged in Bourbon barrels which gives it a unique, soft flavor. We liked it enough to go back and get a case but the unique flavor means it's not for everyone. We would NOT take it to a party.

Pretty strong alcohol. Too light in the fruit. A little heavy on the vanilla.
