pours a dark purple color, dry wood shavings, protein powder and cherry scents on the nose, bone dry, soft edges, dried red fruit and stones on the palate, some grippy notes on the finish, needs some food, drink now

Agree with others, this is the first bottle of 4 in the Costco Bordeaux gift set that was drinkable, medium bodied with some fruit, inexpensive Bordeaux in poor vintages are not worth the money.

Satisfactory, just barely, as a very inexpensive food wine. Very important that it be drunk at the proper temperature (I recommend 60 to 64 deg. F), and consumed with food. Even so, the flavour is not prominent and I would not buy this again, even for $7.50. (Part of a box of four bottles of 2012 Bordeaux for $30.)

A bit past its prime, but very smooth. Lots of graphite and a hint of cedar.

The first of the three bottles in the Bordeaux gift set that didn't warrant being dumped down the drain.
