Down to my last couple bottles, this one is too far over the hill; I’ve enjoyed several “lesser” classed ‘14 WBs that are still singing. Several of these have lately been more mature than hoped. Eminently drinkable for anyone enjoying mature white burgs but it declined quickly over a couple hours. Hope my last bottle will show better than this. Will have that one soon.

Excellent This was nice on its own and with food over two nights. Minerality and building richness of ripe orchard fruits and a touch of spice. The finish builds and texture fills in with air. Kind of a surprise this was such a nice pairing with a simple dish of tagliatelle with tarragon butter.
I don't see this getting better from here. Probably around peak.

New producer to me, sounded interesting in Envoyer's write up so I grabbed one to try and glad I did. Said to come from vines planted in 62,87 and 00. Aged in 40% new oak. Light gold color. Aromas of citrus, mineral and light florals. This was terrific tonight with fresh whole red snapper. This strikes a great balance between lifted minerality and richness. There was refreshing, sappy green apple, lemon, pear, spice along with other flavor harmonics layered in harmony with the driving minerality. This pulls off a unified sense of energetic drive and inviting richness. I'll grab more of these if I spot them. 13.5% alc 93pts+

Pale with obviously youthful nose and palate. Should age well. Having enjoyed his Dad’s Chassagnes for years, it’s clear “the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree” with these guys. Funny, I am hugely sensitive to oak treatment of Chardonnay (most Cali Chards make me gag from it) but I find it not at all intrusive here alongside ample dry extract, balanced acidity, decent fruit. Will enjoy my other bottles of this in 3-5 years. 90+

It’s good, but is it better or more distinct than Kendall Jackson Grand Reserve Chardonnay? Not sure. This is more like a Cali Chardonnay with tropical fruit than a White Burg.

The rating on this wine depends on how you prefer your White Burgundy. This is a new world expression with more toasted oak and tropical fruit than I was expecting. While it still has mineral, lemon zest, and flint, the classic White Burg flavors are muted due to the almost California Chardonnay like personality. My wife loved it, but she is a Cali Chard drinker.

I don't get previous notes: fresh, pure, clean... it is not. Vanilla, wood, an embryonic wine, unfortunately a textbook example of oak ridden chardonnay at the moment. Too youg now, but will need a lot of extra time
The nose showed intense lemon and lime citrus notes strewn with minerals, crushed stone, and wild herbs. On the palate, I found round textures and ripe stone fruits but with tremendous energy and balancing acidity. Ripe apple with tart granny smith acidity defined the finish, as it seemed to become richer and softer with time.

Really singing. Clean and spicy with nice plump chardonnay fruit and a kiss of wood but totally in balance. Great acidity/minerality paired with multiple courses at dinner.

A solid chard with notes of citrus, floral elements, minerals with good balance and nice acidity. Paired with grilled hake.

If I didn’t know this was a Burg, I would have called it a $30-$50 bottle of Califronia Chardonnay. Not my favorite producer.

Slightly corked? I wish it wasn’t as reductive new world as it is. Touch of TCA, but not ruined.

Standard Chardonnay. Nothing exceptional. Fine glass of wine, but nothing that justifies the region, cru or price.

This is showing too much new oak for me at the moment. Underlying material seems nice if the oak eventually integrates

Lovely fresh spicy effusive nose.. Loads of candied hazelnut, hint o' petrol, herbal notes. Clean and nice dollop of chard fruit on the palate.
