A bit long in the tooth now. On opening bright Cab Franc on the nose with decent balance. It goes slowly downhill from there, with the final result being good acidity, but some lack of depth and fruit. Not bad at all, but don't decant...

STG. This was Lance's least favorite of his three wines. I, however, thought it was the best. The nose was soft in a feminine sort of way. The palate showed spicy oak and a round, soft texture. (Perhaps too soft?). There are some tannins, but they come late.

WA wine dinner at Kaspars: 200 cases made, fruit sourced from the Alder Ridge Vineyard. Close to equal parts Merlot, Cab Sauv, and Cab Franc. You can really smell the Cab Franc in this. Spicy wine with good upfront fruit. Very nice, but seems to finish a bit hot and a little short.

Smooth, tannins well integrated. Benefitted from a little air.

Nice fruit well balanced with tannins. Very pleasant, soft. I like the cab franc in this.

Seattle Tasting Group Washington Wine Offline at Kaspar's (Seattle, WA, USA): 200 cases produced, all from Alder Ridge. Wow, this is driving and pure with very impressive acidity and structure, showing a tart cranberry character. This is very linear yet pure, clean and powerful.
