Spot on well aged Merlot driven right banker. Not the most complex but unmistakably Pomerol. Plummy, dark fruits, mushrooms, stewed tomatoes. Perhaps a little over oaked. Drinking great now.

A really good, well balanced bordeaux. A good wine for the hard/mature cheeses we had for starters, but a great wine for the main course (rib eye steak).

Drinking beautifully as a nicely mature bordeaux. Wine is well balanced and does not show any negative aspects of maturity. I don't think it will improve.

Absolutely delicious after 2 decanter hours. Didn't take detailed tasting notes, but great with lentil-vegetable stew topped with fresh tomatoes and avocado. Cherry and plum fruits, along with milk chocolate. Wonderful mid-palate and finish with perfect tannins and acidity. My last review said no improvement expected, but I think this improved at least a point from last time. Wish that Pomerols weren't so expensive, in general, although this one is a good value at $32 en primeur pricing.

This is a very nice Pomerol that the critics under valued. My earlier review (5/20) covers it, I think. Fully mature with ample fruit and tertiary character. CT community holdings are only 25% consumed, it appears, but I plan on drinking my remaining 3 bottles in the next 3-4 years, as I don't see this improving further.

Decent Pomerol, rather deep ruby in colour, nose of sweet minerals, red fruits, a hint of spiciness! Showing signs of complexity, rich fruitiness, a fine smoothness, nice!

Decanted about 2 hrs. so far. A definite, cedar, vegetable (beet and bell pepper), and earthy aroma blend. Baked plums, black cherries, cranberries add to the flavor profile. Tannins are melted (fully round) with medium acidity. I have 2018-2030 for the drinking window, but I think now that endpoint is closer, perhaps 2025. This is a very good wine, but it just doesn't rock me, so I can't go higher than 90.

I think this time it is indeed good to go, still relatively young, in deep ruby colour! Showing some extravagance on the nose, rich red berry fruits on the palate, easy-going and quite refined, along with some spiciness! Good value...

Wow. Neil Martin’s original review really holds up for this bottle. PnP. Beautiful light berry nose and mouth. Sous bois, hints of forest. Tannins are present but melting. Oddly it’s not very full in the mouth but the finish is fairly long. Drink over the next 2-4 years

similar to the bottle last year. Lovely wine, in magnum format it probably needs another 2-3 years. As good as the 09 and 10 of this house, these three easily being the best wines I have seen from this Chateau.

Don't think this is too young, just over ripe Merlot. This wine has good balance and only moderately aromatic but has a burnt graphite character with loads of stewed prunes. Very concentrated, very Californian.

Very dark ruby in color!! Not much in the nose, just faint nose of cedar dark fruits! Rich thick palate, mouthful of dark fruits, mainly prunes! Lacking refinement and I think it is still in the sleep! See if I'm able to meet this wine again in the future! Very young! Need patience!!

Absolutely Bordeaux. A little softer styling than left bank I've tasted in same price range. Touches of more purple fruit, plums, vanilla and a little baking spice. Palate is fine. Fairly one note and nothing too exciting. Maybe it's still just too young? Don't think so.

Powerful aromas of leather & brett with a tannic plush palate that more reminds me of the wines from Madiran than Bordeaux. By the end of one glass this wine falls flat. Monolithic. A crowd pleaser for many, but lacking nuance.

The addition of 5% Cabernet Franc to the Merlot dominated wine created a soft textured, refined, medium bodied Pomerol, with fennel, plum, black cherry and cocoa. This is already accessible and fun to drink.

Produced from 95% Merlot and rest Cabernet Franc, the wine features scents of ripe plums, spice and milk chocolate. Soft textured and already drinking well, this medium bodied Pomerol should probably be drunk up before its 15th birthday. The wine ends with a light, black cherry finish.

Took a bit to open up, but after two hours some enjoyable qualities started to show their face. Rustic dark cherry, cola, mocha and some earth, a bit of soy and hoisen sauce. Absolutely Bordeaux without a doubt and expressive of its right bank Merlot dominance. The palate is not too complex, but it, like the nose, properly displays elements of classic Merlot with a different spice driven aspect I enjoy. The finish has nice acidity, is dusty and moderately complex. Decent, but didn't love it.

Decanted for 3 hours - Dark red / black color. Cigar box, black licorice, black currants & rosemary on the nose. Consistent flavors on palate - silky, balanced mouthfell with medium + body and long finish with nice drying tannins. Excellent with a Filet but surprisingly good on it's own. Buy more.

Very shy nose upon opening. On the palate this wine features dark chocolate, burnt toast, cigar ash, and no fruit. After six hours in the decanter hints of classic pomerol fruit began to emerge but still well in the background behind all the charred stuff. This wine is like Robert Downey Jr in Tropic Thunder. Grippy but manageable tannins. Difficult to score now. If that fruit is able to escape this will be wonderful down the road.
