Was going through my cellar grabbing wines for a charity auction when I grabbed this and noticed it was a leaker. Sticky residue around the Stelvin and a slightly low ullage (an inch below the capsule) had me worried. Pulled the cap, cleaned the bottle neck and it poured a brilliant golden yellow. Nose full of petrol, Asian pear and wet stones giving off a heavy Riesling vibe. Off dry, creamy and viscous, with lychee, sugared grapefruit segment and a steely minerality taking you on a sensory spin. The acid is the latecomer but lingers in the long finish. This is a really wonderful bottle of wine that spreading its wings beautifully.

Drinking like a German high end kabinett. Wonderful freshness with good acidity. Notes of citrus and a hint of quince makes this field blend an absolute joy to drink. Great juice.

A wonderful white field blend. Aromatically pleasing with terpene fragrances, honeysuckle, apples and pears. Great mouth feel with plenty of excitement. The acidity keeps everything in balance. Great juice.

Love this vineyard. Carlisle (and Bedrock) create magic every year. This is just entering its drinking window for my tastes with all the grapes playing well together, as opposed to the Gewurtz taking the lead when the wine is younger. Such a delicious and distinctive wine and consistently one of my favorite domestic whites!

Pear, yellow apple, apricot, lichee, lemon pie, great balance and harmony at this stage, although I get a little artificial sweetener in it, not off putting though.

Delightful. Lychee, honeydew melon and pear form the core of this incredibly fragrant and focused wine. The palate is light and playful but with an incredibly smooth texture, adding a bit of a stony undertone to the fruits. A great summer wine.

Performing nicely with apple, pear and mineral notes singing in harmony. There is only a touch of sweetness, but works well here. Wonderful texture, depth and a lot of an X Factor. Great juice!

This wine is getting better! Dry Riesling notes with a salinity, stone fruit and jasmine that remind you of something from Alsace. Great balance and texture. Awesome finish!

I really like the idea of this wine. Very old vine field blend of some of my favorite whites--Gewurztraminer, Trousseau Gris and Riesling. Sweetness I found in last bottles has disappeared but now there is a bite on the finish that keeps it from being great. Edit--on day three the bite had disappeared -- might mean a decanting could improve this bottle so I am upping my rating.

If you German dry Riesling, you are in for a treat. Green apple, a touch of ginger with pear accents in the background. Great acidity and texture. Maybe between a trocken and a kabinett. Well done!!!

Sorry for the reviewers who thought this wine was going to be dry. It is a Gewurtztraminer blend and has a touch of sweetness to counter the bitter finish, bringing it all into balance. Wonderful as an aperitif or with spicy food. I love Alsatian Gewurtztraminer and this wine is the best I have had out of California. I drank it at my cellar temperature (51°) and then had a glass after I chilled it. It was more bitter colder, go with 55° to 60°.

Bought 2 bottles on release. Had one shortly after arrival and found it awkward. Floral, acidic and almost sweet. A year later, this was much better. All those elements there, but well integrated and very enjoyable. For me at least, this greatly benefits from a year of bottle age. Drink or hold.

Gewurztraminer is seldom complex but this is a blend. Trousseau Gris and Riesling are in the mix and counter the dominance of the GT. While both fruity and floral, the nose has honey and fennel as well. In the mouth, a leaner lemon and mineral texture provides a cleansing grip. Went well with meat samosas and a minty yogurt sauce. 4+12+16+7

Pale yellow color. Fruity, flowery nose—mint, orange blossoms. Apricot and tangerine on the tip of the tongue. Some Gewurz spice—the blend really settles that down. Some mineral hints, mid-palate. Very nice acid refreshment.

Very floral and fragrant. Perception of sweet fruit up front but finishes dry with rocks and gravel minerality. Tasty and a bit different. Might be better than the 2013 edition.

Beautiful wine here. Dominated aromatically by the gewurztraminer; pronounced lychee and yellow rose petal/muscat/Musk like perfume! Intoxicatong nose! Taste is like a world class Austrian Gelber Muscateller if that makes any sense; the perfume of the nose is kept in check by a dry and refreshing flavour, well balanced and refreshing with pronounced gewurz-aromatics filling out the flavour profile. Outstanding wine from my perspective, but given the primary nature of the aroma and flavour, I think it cannot command a higher rating than 'just' outstanding. Recommended and will probably keep/evolve for a number of years

Interesting field blend of gewurztraminer, trousseau gris and riesling. Nice balance of flavors, with crisp acidity. The floral gewurtz is present but not overwhelming, and is very pleasant to drink.
Seems like a Spring/Summer wine, and I am not generally a gewurtztraminer or riesling drinker.
It was great as a cocktail wine; I don't enjoy these types with food.
If you drink gewurtz or riesling with food, then you will really like this wine!
Never heard of trousseau gris before reading the back label.
We have another bottle, and are looking forward to it.
