  • Cork broke, but lower part extracted cleanly. Deep gold, almost golden syrup colour. Clean nose, quite creamy with lanolin and a hint of beeswax. Holds up well, despite the shopkeeper's concerns. It tastes rather like a dessert wine without the sweetness - creamy, honeyed, perfumed, but dry. Very pleasant with a good supporting tangy acidity. Very impressive. [Natural cork; 14% abv; Eskview Wines, Musselburgh, knocked down to £5]
