A bit lean at the moment. Dark purple, nice purity of fruit. Blue fruits, some minor spice elements, hints of underbrush. I think it may just need a couple years to flush out a bit. Quite good now, however, especially for the price.

Well done. Classic Winderlea and Dundee Hills Pinot, with high acidity, red fruit oriented Pinot. Excellent structure and balance if a little to high acid oriented. Bright red fruits and a nice finish with plenty of life ahead. Good now, probably better in a year or two.

For the past 30 years I have occasionally drank and tried to understand Pinot/Burgundy. I had the pleasure of working at North Berkeley Wines in college and my dear friend to this day would suggest me to get into Pinot. I would try them and they would rarely speak to me the way that other grapes would. And it has been this way ever since. Living in Oregon, I am beginning to surrender to this noble grape. At last, I am beginning to hear whispers coming from the bottle. This is one of the finest bottles of Pinot that I ever had the pleasure of drinking. It was a glorious ruby jewel color that betrayed the intense flavors that it held. Dark Cherries, some very pleasant vegetal flavor that I could not name but leant a great balancing counter point. This wine is smooth. Tannins were so smooth, even a little shy. The finish was a little short, but so clean. Very lovely wine by Bill And Donna Morris (and winemaker Robert Brittain) that may just help the conversion that my friend started in the wine shop 30 years ago. I can't wait to try this bottle in a few years. I am pretty sure that I will upgrade my score at that point.

Tasting at Winderlea (Dundee Hills): Winery tasting. Tasted side-by-side with the Maresh (which is an adjacent vineyard). Nose here is full with more nuance than the Maresh -- black cherry, earth, florals, spice and chalky minerals. Terrific power and intensity with loads of spice. Driving, bright acidity in the finish. Preferred this to the Maresh.

Leaner and tarter than last tasting.

Not quite worth the money. Definitely improved and filled out a bit day 2. Rustic tones with darker berries.

Decanted for 45 minutes. Classic Oregon pinot. Very well balanced with medium body, red fruit, moderate acid.

Not sure im as impressed as others. showing limited Pinot character. Maybe I simply didn't give it enough time but I'm. Try it again tomorrow.
