Clean and brilliant golden yellow in appearance with a beautiful nose of ripe pineapples and stone fruits with a noticeable dried grassy herbaceous overtones. The palate is somewhere in between the fuller end of medium-bodied and the lighter side of full-bodied, quite concentrated and viscous with ample amount of refreshing acidity that keeps this interesting and not like canned peach syrup. The flavor profile includes candied yellow fruits (but in my opinion it's doesn't really taste like but rather somewhere in-between the essential flavors and characteristics of very ripe yellow peaches and golden pineapples), fresh juices from sweet ripe yellow pomelos mixed with lots of new clover flower honey with some straw, Botrytis-inflected characteristics, and finishes with a hint of rich vanilla cream tempered with just the right amount of refreshing acidity. A very lovely and memorable Barsac with a very controlled and genteel personality. Enjoyed a glass tonight chilled, popped and poured from a 375 ml. bottle. Will have to revisit tomorrow to see if there is any further developments in this. Day 2: Much more integrated with rich fruits dominating the honey component which dominant the taste profile yesterday, the vanilla cream is not present tonight but over all, it's still quite a remarkable experience.

Popped and poured, so will reevaluate after a night or two in the fridge. But this is pure sticky sweet apricot with a bit of orange zest. Honeyed and cloying, and lacking in acid for me. Medium finish is unfortunately clipped before it feels like it could get interesting.
Edit: I needed to give this a fair shot. It really tightened up by day 2, and the citrus becomes more prominent and floral details emerge. The finish has lengthened and added spices to its character. Will keep following, lesson learned!
On day 3, there is a lengthy finish that adds a creamy texture to the mix. As such we now have ginger apricot orange flowers and this wine is really coming into its own.

Excellent young Doisy-Vedrines - not too saccharine at this age. Each sip shows something different, even fresh cold coca-cola or hints of honeyed banana. Looking forward to the complexity age brings.

Marmalade richness though restrained. A lovely dessert wine. Classic Sauternes structure. Fine with just a little lifted richness. Medium length. A simple joy.

Apricots, poached peaches, spicy pears, orange peel, ginger, lemon, caramel, honey, almond, a hint of pineapple and maybe nutmeg, with a modestly long aftertaste that I suspect will get longer with age. Really quite lovely. Should be a treat for a long time.

Very fine. Apricot, honey, marmalade cut. Good length. Fine and elegant, not big rich and powerful. A lovely wine. Drank from a half. Now-2028 Developing richness with breathing. More marmalade than apricot.

I think Jeff Leve is right (see below). The fact is that Sauternes really is best drunk young (1-6 years) or old (12-20 years). In between, it becomes fat and loses definition (like us).
This wine has not lost definition: wonderfully lifted nose of a spice and fruit, somewhere between nutmeg and mango (but it the clarity of the lift that matters - almost pungent); beautiful balance on the palate. Some will find the ultimate taste understated expecting something more imposing, but there is a purity of expression in this wine that should compensate for that. A very fine wine and, as with its neighbour, Daene, most certainly worthy of elevation into the 1. Crus.

Elegant, fresh, lifted, tropical fruits and apricots coated with honey, vanilla bean and roasted nuts. The wine is rich, but also energetic, giving it the right balance between its natural sweetness and acidity,

Velvety. Nose with apricot peel, tropical fruit, and hints of acetone. Viscous. Bright and dominant taste of apricot on the palate. Vibrant acid balances the fruit nicely. The wine has high concentration and extreme length.

Drank from a 375ml bottle. Very light color so age hasn't begun its journey with this wine yet. Beautiful wine with notes of nectar and marmalade. I can't wait to see how this evolve over the coming years.

Lovely dessert wine. Colour is somewhat pale and nose a little shy but the palate is really good. There is a nice but not prominent sweetness to the wine and not at all cloying. The fruit is a lovely mix of ripe pear, quince, melon, perhaps some apricot and maybe nectarine contributing the cleansing acidity. Excellent QPR too.

A lovely dessert wine, not too sweet, with a subtle, but balancing acidity. A Christmas night dessert. Apricot in both the nose and palate. Very enjoyable

Tasted after 2015 Doisy Daëne. Rich, big, concnetrated, but there is good acidity and lift. Maybe a little more linear with less finesse, but very good persistence. 91-92+

Tarte and lemon - let’s just say lemon tarte. Clearly honey. Ripe flavours. Not too sirupy on the palate. Nice long finish. Unfortunately tasted Yquem after this which overshadowed everything else.

First look at Sauternes 2015 from barrel (Camping du Lac Bordeaux): The nose was quite mentholated, and this sample - as Steve Webb confirmed - was perhaps not the best representative. But the palate showed much substance and vigor and was full bodied without being heavy. Well balanced. A long finish. Excellent potential.

A straight forward and well balanced Sauternes. Claims notes of honey apricots with touches of orange marmalade and candied fruit.
